Wow, that's a story. I liked everything, the graphics and the sounds. The action game feels fun, especially the way the enemies flew off dozens of meters xddd. Some strange game design decisions make me go back and forth, but the good thing about the game is that it's very fast! In general, it's a fun project.
Much respect trying to get a story game out in a jam, lots to think about for possible player actions. I would consider hiding the hearts at the top until you are in combat for full immersion. Some of the combat I felt was janky, but it does the job.
Thank you for submitting!
Thats a lot of stuff for the amount of time you had to make this! Great job!
I think I might need more hand holding. I found trees that said they were weak, but couldn’t cut them down. I wandered around, but couldn’t really figure out what I was supposed to do. I liked the sfx touches, though would appreciate some audio controls because I wanted to turn down the background music, but was fine with the sfx volume.
Really impressive how much you were able to get done for this jam! Great job!
I had a fun time playing this one. I was able to logically figure out where to go and I had a super difficult time with the boss so I deem it a success! My one suggestion would be adding more music and maybe an original organ piece for the beginning. However, I know the time crunch with these jams and like you said below, you needed to go for assets. But I feel this could be a cool idea to be developed into a bigger game and hopefully you will!
Looks like a fun idea, i did find a bug where if you press in the middle of the screen you will press the respawn button. But great work nontheless
Art and animation is impressive. did you use asset packs? It's so hard to get character animations like that for a jam!
Yeah, we were running way behind on the art, so we just jammed in whatever assets we could scrape together before the deadline. Glad it didn't turn out looking like a monster. The player character is from here. Koroded drew the splashscreen/thumbnail in the last few hours of the jam, which to my non-artistic programmer mind, is just incredible.
Thanks for playing!
Really great art and sound effects!
Congratulations on your submission!
The wolves are soooooo annoying ^^ They respawn way too fast for a game where you have to backtrack and find your way around. But the game is very pretty and plays really well. Well done
I found the graphics amazing honestly, I found the music a little too loud, and I was confused for a while looking what to do, but overall it was pretty fun! Congrats!
Man, those doggos are persistent! lol
Like netmugi is saying, I too encountered the bug. I also felt it is a bit too empty especially the beginning area, like I didn't know what to do.
Then again, to think a classic zelda-style adventure game in such a short period of the jam is already very impressive. I really like the art style and atmosphere. I also really like the key visual.
Really cool to see an adventure game made in such a short period of time. When the music kicked in fighting Father Time I knew it was going to go down. Unfortunately I encountered a bug where I got locked out of the boss room after dying and respawning outside of it, so I wasn't able to finish. But overall I think the thing you did best was atmosphere, I liked the vibes! Good job to everyone who worked on it!
Hi, thanks for playing!
Regrettably, there wasn't the time to test out the game before the deadline, so it's as full of bugs as an ant's nest. Really unfortunate that you didn't get to see the end of the game. And come to think of it, the way it's laid out right now, even without the bug, some players might miss it. I'll have to think of a way to fix that. We might do a post-jam update, IDK.
