I really like this game! It is very unique and really polished. I like the simple controls as well. I also like that there is a dialogue at the beginning.

One suggestion could be to label the parts in the 3D view, as at first I didn’t know the server is the black box. Overall, I think this game is really good :)

Not gonna lie, I spent several tries until I finally understood how to properly play it. In the end, I managed to last around ~12:00. Nice mechanic and idea! The only thing I'd add is a skip button for the intro. Great job!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate the report on the mechanics not being instantly clear, definitely going to be working on that in a later patch, as well as that skip cutscene button. Thank you so much for playing!

I adored the graphic design and concept of game. Gave me the vibe of a non-horror FNAF. I don't know whether it was just me or not, but I was kicked to the other side of the truck randomly without right clicking. Was the only reason I lost at 17:00 XD

Developer (1 edit)

So funny that you say that lol. Originally the idea was more inspired by WarioWare, with you getting a bunch of micro tasks to handle, but the office setting made me realize halfway through development "damn this is basically a fnaf game"

Anyways yes the thing you experienced was intentional! The GPS on the left is there to warn you. When Ellis stops you'll be sent forward, and when he speeds up you get thrown back. This is communicated pretty poor in this build, and I plan to improve it in later ones.

Thank you so much for this insightful feedback!

Submitted(+1)

I couldn't get the hang of it, but it looks pretty and has good sound design! The mechanics too are very interesting, I just couldn't get used to them. I'd die like.... instantly  _(: 3 」∠)_ lol

Developer(+1)

Honestly thank you so much for that feedback! I appreciate you giving it a shot and letting me know. In later builds I'll be easing in the mechanics rather than throwing them all in at once, and will have lower difficulty modes that give you more time for tasks on top of that. Thank you very much for playing and for leaving such insightful feedback!

The game is great! I lasted until 17:00 which I am happy with. You rock! It is frustrating in the best way. The only gripe I have, mecha are those huge robots, right? I wish they were more present in the gameplay somehow. Like I was expecting people asking mecha questions on the phone and needing to navigate some manual to help them.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Yes I totally agree! I'm suprised you're the first to bring this up lol. My original plan involved mecha pilots calling you with specific issues and you had to go to a station to help them during their fights. A large appeal to this was going to be that you're in a world surrounded by advanced sci-fi tech and you're still working in the back of what is basically a modern day moving truck. Thank you for playing and thank you for the good feedback!

Submitted

Wow, that is beautiful! I imagine different pilot personalities: incompetent beginners flying an overpriced mech who got their position through nepotism and threaten to tell their dad! Elite hotshots that are full of themselves. Hot influencers who fly luxury mechs for PR! A well-meaning klutz. Crazy skilled nerdy people who are focused on min-maxing their mech. Angry grunts who are stuck at the bottom because they failed some theoretical test or lack connections. If you ever wanna talk about your game, hit me up on discord! the_hands_on_guy

I had a good run now :)

This game needs a leaderboard post-jam!:)

Great job! What a neat way of using different game mechanics together.

Also come on Ellis, how did you ever get your license??

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words! Between us, Ellis's license expired 30 years ago, the man is a fiend truly.

Thank you so much for playing my game!

Didn't expect a game made by someone called SerenityDev to give me so much anxiety.

For real, it's impressive how much it feels like an overwhelmingly busy shift, the art style and the sound effects (that god damn ringing) really sells it.

I wish I had a way to skip the intro tho, I didn't found one. I know its not a long one but since I didn't understand what to do the first few times I played, it did repeat a bit too much.

Good game, congrats !

Developer(+1)

LMAO, I like to consider my username a subversion of expectations bordering on false advertising, so truly that is one of the best compliments I've received.

But wonderful feedback I appreciate your thoroughness! You are correct this game is in desparate need of a skip cutscene button, I was going to add one but honestly that intro was a house of cards waiting to topple because I've never programmed a cutscene in godot lol so I was afraid to touch it. I'll be sure to include it in the post-jam build!

Thank you so very much for your wonderful and insightful review!

I made it to 4pm! The phone was so tricky but I managed to get the hang of it, just wish that uncle ellis could learn to drive better! This was extremely fun, micromanaging everything was the fun kind of tricky, not too challenging and not too easy, perfectly balanced, which I know is an extraordinarily difficult thing to achieve in such a short amount of time. I had a blast playing this game, well done!

Developer(+1)

I'm very very happy to hear that! Seriously thank you I appreciate your incredibly kind words they mean a lot! Thank you for your feedback and thank you for playing!

Submitted(+1)

i need red ticking circles so i know where the f- am i, the rest is fine :)

phone please STOP THAT  RING RING.

Developer(+1)

LMAO, yeah I wanted to truly capture the essence of an office area that has constant mind numbing phone ringing. Good idea with the circles I'll definitely consider that. Thanks for playing and thank you for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

I lasted until 16 lol, but lovely art, and concept, I am not cut out for this job :).

Developer

fair lol, old man Ellis runs a tight (and legally questionable) ship. Thank you so much for the kind words, and thank you for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I liked the characters, atmosphere and the tasks. (Took me few fails to realize what I needed to do for the phone task though)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you! I'm very glad to hear that you like the characters as I'm very fond of character design! Yeah I was concerned the phone task would confuse some players, definitely gonna make it more clear where it is in a later update after the voting period. Thank you very much for playing!

Submitted(+1)

I love the concept, great job!

Developer

Thank you very much!

I hit a bit of a language barrier, but I tried my best to play through it. My best record so far is 12:00. I really like the atmosphere inside the truck, especially the slightly creepy music coming from the PC.

Developer

I really appreciate the effort and feedback! My game heavily relies on English text for sure, I'll be certain to use pictures to explain my ideas in later builds after the jams conclusion. Thank you very much for playing and for the insightful feedback!

Submitted(+1)

Current high score is 14:00! So stressful in such a thematically appropriate way LOL, and definitely a funny and solid idea - enjoyed quite a good bit! :]

Developer(+1)

Yes! Thank you that's exactly what I wanna hear lol, my goal was for this game to be stressful and overwhelming but in a way that is enjoyable. Thank you for playing!

Submitted(+2)

It’s really good, I love the idea :D

Developer(+2)

I really appreciate that! Especially from you since your game takes a similar concept and does it in a way I adore so much!

Anyone seeing this is morally obligated to go check out their game HARDHEAD.

Thanks so much for playing on stream! Was very fun to watch your playthrough. It was also great to watch you do the scoring process, I appreciate that you really thought about your answers and didn't just do 5's down the board.

Submitted(+1)

I’m really glad you said that, I always get a lil scared of not givin 5’s down the board and ppl being upset hehe 🩷

Submitted(+1)

I absolutely love this control scheme, everything really plays together well and it feels very clean ^^ if I had to change anything I'd probably make it a bit clearer what you've got to do (maybe an arrow?) but other than that I really like this

Developer(+1)

Oh an arrow's actually a nice idea thank you! Yeah I've been toiling around ideas in my head of how to make the intent more clear, thanks for the suggestion, and thank you for playing!

(+1)

Because my English level is low, I always gave copy‑and‑paste answers, and I realized this mistake. I used AI support for the interface because I started the project on the last day and had very limited time. Still, being able to create a game on my own in about 6 hours without using an engine is something I find successful for a young developer. I couldn’t add music and there are some shortcomings, but I see this process as a learning opportunity. Harsh criticism is normal for me because I want to learn from my mistakes and improve myself. Your comment felt a bit heavy, though I expected more respect for my effort. I may have completely misunderstood you, and if so, I apologize. I was actually ashamed of sending spam messages, and once I realized that, I stopped doing it. Now I try to give real feedback about people’s games in a way that makes them happy, because I want them to feel encouraged.

I accidentally deleted your comment while trying to reply to it, so I'm replying here.

Developer (2 edits) (+2)

I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond to my review even after deleting it. I stand by what I said. I do see that your recent comments are more genuine, I'm glad to see that you're making an effort to improve.

My intent was not hostility, but direct honesty. Promoting your own game on other's pages without providing them genuine feedback is incredibly disrespectful to the developer, regardless of language barriers.  Your choice to ignore the theme outright on top of that just showed a complete lack of respect for jam integrity. I'm sorry, but you don't just "forget" to follow a jam restriction especially when it's outlined in the rules.

You're making improvements I can tell! Again, this is a time for genuine human connection, be a part of the community, we're glad to have you here.

(+1)

I know there's no hostility. I couldn't fit the idea I wanted into the jam theme, so it ended up being too independent of the jam. You're right about that, too. I wrote the first review of my game myself and mentioned it. I want to apologize to everyone I spammed. I hope everyone plays well in the next mini-jam.

Submitted(+1)

Really great game! I enjoyed the frantic gameplay of having to bounce between multiple tasks at once, it really does have an intense high score arcadey feel to it. I also liked the use of 3D models,  it has that PSX/N64 low poly style that still looks great.

My high score was a time of 18:30.

Developer

I appreciate the kind words thank you! PSX era graphics is a particular favorite of mine so I tend to incorporate them into most of my recent projects, glad you enjoyed it!

Submitted(+1)

This was chaotic XD It took me a few runs to understand what I should do here

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Glad to hear I managed to really sell the chaotic nature, definitely going to work on embracing that chaos and making the intended gameplay loop more intuitive in later builds after the jam.
