Game Description
Help get the trash down from space so we can put more up there!
How does your game tie into the theme?
Orbital decay is the decline of satellites. I use darkness to only give you fleeting glimpses of their trajectories. I sell powerups so you can build out your craft your way. I blend genres of roguelike, simulation, strategy, and action.

Great game, but i take some time to take the controls
It took me a few minutes to understand the controls, but I really liked the mechanics and theme. Great work!
I couldn't pu the big debris on earth, maybe it was on my part!
Good Originality!
<3
[Space] to drop off the debris. It's described on the game's page, and in the in-game settings/control menu.
If only de-orbiting space junk was that easy. Not sure I was playing the game correctly. I got "game over" before too long for no reason I could figure. Nice idea though.
May I refer you to Paragraph 5 (of the itch page):
You should have got an explosion animation and the belt of darkness lifts. If you didn't, that's a bug.
I thought it was obvious that preventing collisions was the goal here. I will remember to make a point of this in the in-game tutorial.
This was pretty fun to play! It took a few tries to figure out exactly what to do though. Great concept with the decay theme and seems like it would scale up really well if you continued with the idea. It did get quite difficult quickly as more and more debris appeared and didn't seem like my ship had the ability to keep up. Overall I liked it!
I love the idea, but I wasn’t able to figure out the controls. I picked up debris in orbit, but couldn't figure out how to land, or affect anything of my state. Am I missing something besides pressing space or `q` or `a`?
[Escape] for menu. Once there the settings contain the full controls.
[Space] is to deposit your cargo to burn up in the atmosphere.
I like how unique the idea of the game is. Being able to bring scraps deorbited and then to Earth. It gives us ideas what to do.
Nice game, a bit too slow at the beginning… and you don’t have much control of the rocket, you just recover what comes your way.
But it’s enjoyable! Nice! =)
Thank you for playing and I appreciate your feedback. Yes! It needs tuning. I see why no game use this sort of rotational "physics"; not being able to define a corkscrew in terms of x and y. I could have flattened the globe and ended up with Striker, but wanted to go for something new with the looping, darkness, and potential multiplayer/multirocket.
You may be indifferent to know I have now implemented optional capturing of debris, auto-harpoon.
My wrists got tired, the hour was late. I was aiming for a stupidly simple 2 or 3 button game until feature creep meant it became 2 or 3 per craft. And then it was Sunday.
Totally valid concern. It plays more like how I planned it now, with debris tending more to collisions the closer to earth it gets, which is kinda ironic when you think the radius shrinks there.
Nice thing here. I was a little bit desperate about the up and down velocity, but that correted itself with some upgrades. Keep it up!
I had fun with this :) I think pausing the game when you get the opportunity for an upgrade would be nice, since I didn't want to look away from my ship. Really cool idea!
Thank you for your considered review, and for playing.
The menu transition was a quick and dirty shader I had on hand, intended to prevent the player cheating "time".
My biggest challenge was in ensuring the spawns won't crash in their first 60s. This involves optimising a lot of forward simulation; most of the game-overs, in this version released, are slightly premature.
I am still learning which upgrades are worth it. You could take a screen shot before pausing... My apologies for that inconvenience.
Very hard to understand in the beginning, but after a few rotations I figured it out and it was quite enjoyable! Really nice take on the decay theme — I never would've thought of that one.
When I started playing, and begun to understandd, I truly didn't think I'd play for long before leaving a review and moving on. But I found myself playing it for so much longer, the looping is almost hypnotising! You have the makings of a really great incremental roguelike here, and I'm really in to it. Great work! :)
That was hard to understand what exactly I should do. But by the method of trying and mistaking I figured out
As below - that was funny to read messages)
Thank you so much for playing. I appreciate artists need art. The sound, and HUD numbers were not clear enough, so I'm satisfied to have finally animated the debris deposit scheme:

Adding an in-game tutorial is on my todo list.
Very interesting take on the word "Decay" and great concept!
I wish the orbit started a little slower (or my reflection was a bit faster) and gradually picked up the pace.
I liked the nice touch of different messages every time I failed. haha
Thank you for playing and picking up on these subtleties. I hope you didn't find any message in there too toxic?!
I am absolutely looking to tune the progression. Orbital speed is a strange one, it's like offering one frame/snapshot every 3 seconds with the rest in darkness. Then the orbit is so congested anyway that you really need motion perpendicular to the orbit to reach the debris that looks dangerous.
Just fly faster!
Once I got the hang of it, the game is quite fun, I'm just really bad at it lol! Great work!
unique interpretation of the theme!
Not uniquely unique, I saw someone discussing it in the Discord when I still thought I had a unique concept. I hoped no one would notice and I'd have the interpretation to myself. It is common parlance in the space sector.
Very original take on the theme. I was pretty confused at first on how to move and what to do, but once I found the in game page describing everything, I had a pretty good grasp of it. Well done and nice game!
Thanks for reviewing. I only got that in-game help page in 30m before the end, having only gotten my composer to playtest 30m before that. Glad it helped.
