The game is unique, and I like it! Just one thing though, nothing seems to happen when I get hit. Is this intended behavior or is there supposed to be a death screen?

Wow what a unique concept and approach. I didn’t read the controls as I feel I should be able to approach any game and immediately know how to play it. This game did just that. It was easy to understand when i started playing, the concept is simple and the skill required increases as time goes on becoming something crazy.
I will say I have seen a few submissions for all the jams without any audio which is a real shame because i think it adds a lot to the game. Add some music and sfx and this is a great game that could be played on a mobile device.
I didn’t get too far but I think I got the full scope on my multiple playthroughs. Good job :)

I would never think of a concept like this! I like it! I think it needs a more scale and pressure to make it more enjoyable. It needs a bit more work, and it can be a something good.
Very cool concept! I think with some polish and expansion on the idea you could have a really cool and unique game!
The pixel art is very charming with a simple but clean and nice look. The lowered opacity to demonstrate the sort've "phantom movement" you do before the actual movement is a really nice design touch.
I'll brush past the obvious things already mentioned like no sound and some polish needed on the mechanics. The main thing that sticks out to me is the Godot default grey background and default font, I highly recommend for pixel art games going into the fonts settings and turning off anti-aliasing, it's a super easy and instant improvement visually. Here's an example of the difference.

Great work though! This is one of the most unique concepts I've seen in this jam, I hope you see this project further because it has a lot of potential!
fun to play, but it's missing some other attack types or different moves. i like the graphics, good job!
So much potential a really great concept but the game need a bit more work on the polish side
Good job !
I like this concept a lot, but it really could use some simple sound effects and backing music. It feels kinda dry without it; Also it took a little bit to figure out how the turns happened, and was too easy once it was figured out; overall good submission though ! would love to see a more fleshed out version
Cool concept, i like that turn based idea, but i miss a second phase where the map is bigger, or have more events.
Cool idea. Right now it is not clear why have two phases. You avoid them as they appear and then it replays the same thing. It seems like a good concept to experiment with further.
The replay phase is a repeat. From my personal perspective as a player, I want the second phase to add another gameplay mechanic, another layer to the game.
Great work on the game!
Thanks for the feedback! I actually agree, the replay phase is a bit lacking.
My vision was to capture something like "YOMIH" or "SUPERHOT", you know? Where you have a "thinking" phase and a "just watch and see cool moves" phase.
But because I couldn't spend too much time developing, I didn't get to adding more polish to that second phase.
Anyway, thanks for playing! I appreciate the feedback.
