Super cool game. The art is great and fits the theme so well. I absolutely love the goofyness of the frog and the crocs and the sound design in general adds a lot to the overall experience. I really enjoy those jam games that have a very simple mechanic that is masterfully crafted. I have to say, I couldnt go pass level 3 though... maybe the waves could push crocs away harder? idk, but overall this game is a very fun, creative and well implemented idea!
You're too kind 🙏 Thanks for playing the game!
Wow this is really fun. The art, the animation is well made. Also the wave made of ripples is very creative! Great Job!
Thanks so much for playing the game and leaving a comment!
I found this game to be bounds of fun. The leap mechanic worked really well and the intensity of crocs increasing with time as well timed. Lilly placement proved challenging and planning a route around was the biggest obstacle. Overall a quality game, crocs for the win, sorry Sir Frog
🐸 croc sympathiser located, we gottem🐊
Lol thanks for playing and good feedback!
Fun simple game here. The art is really good and the jumping mechanic is fun. I think the crocodiles should pose a little more of a threat to add more urgency. Good stuff!
Good feedback, will work on making the crocs more intelligent lmoa 🐊 Thanks for playing
I like frog games. This is certainly a frog game. Cool hand drawn art. Only downside is that I feel like I landed on a lilypad but in fact I did not and I get to play more of your game :D
ribbit 🐸yea that's definitely a thing I should fine tune some more, thanks for playing 🐸ribbit
I found the main gameplay loop to be very fun :) Also the interpretation of the literal waves in water is very inventive
Haha glad you liked it, was worried my interpretation wasn't very creative 😅
Best implementation of waves as a mechanic I've seen so far. Some of the lilypads are glitchy and I think there could be a grace period for crocs to prevent them from coming up from the water the same instant you leap, but I beat all 4 levels. I liked the difficulty and the randomness. Good job!
yea wished I tested the crocs more, based on feedback it does need a bit of fine-tuning. Thanks for playing! :DD
I think the concept has a lot of potential, liked the interpretation of the theme as well, I would add some sort of indicator of how much the frog can jump at least for the first levels so the player can get used to it and then on harder difficulties or higher levels remove it to test the player’s skill so they can measure by themselves if they make a jump or not. The sprites, music and sound effects matched really well.
Good feedback, I will consider it. It did have a jump distance indicator in the form of dashed lines but I can see how it might not have been very obvious, I neglected to explicitly mention it 😅 I like the idea of "no jump distance indicator" feature being optional for something like a trophy (if I even get to it to making it) though.
Thanks for playing!
Really fun game! The concept is simple but was executed really well. Great work!
Glad you liked it. Thanks for playing!
Very good game! Some really crisp SFX, fun music and the frog in the detective coat made me laugh :)) I think you also nailed the balancing of rewards and enemy adversity well. It got pretty challenging quickly and I wish the difficulty ramp was a little bit gentler because I would have liked to play this for longer.
Thanks for the feedback! Really happy you liked Sir Frog XD It did feel hard for me too at level 3 haha I was desperate for more satisfying difficulty because I knew I wasn't gonna reach 10 levels with more mechanics and got carried away with the enemy scaling 😅
I really like this game, the mechanic of aiming your jump on the lily pads is really fun. I hope you expand your game in the future!
Thanks for playing! I do have plans for a few more levels and a bit of UI cleanup before moving on.
