Nice concept, I liked this game but I feel like it would be nice to make the ripples a little more responsive and to have some slight ambiance music. Keep it up!

Hi! I quite liked your game! Theme interpretation and visuals are perfect and stunning! There's no audio at all sadly :( and the gameplay is very simple but I still enjoyed nyself (highscore of 4). Considering that you were in the middle of your exams this is quite impressive!

Developer

Thank you for trying out the game.
I thought about adding ripple sounds but if anyone spammed the ripples it just got really really loud.

I think the premise of this game and its minimalist visuals are absolutely great, but the execution was rather rough. Aside from the difficulty which others have already touched on, I managed to get stuck in rocks multiple times, making it necessary for me to reset often. When I tried to adjust the camera to get a good top down view, the camera snaps and disorients me (I've personally run into similar issues before: try to avoid allowing the camera to be perfectly vertical and cap its angle to something very close to vertical instead). Causing a ripple when I only mean to move the camera also resulted in me sending the boat the wrong way relatively often, though I eventually realized I could use RMB instead of LMB for that. There's definitely potential in the idea, though :)

Heya!
Thanks for trying out the game and giving feedbacks.
I will try not to repeat the same issues next time. Thanks again.

You have a strong, original premise here. It was just too hard to get the boat moving. Still, one of the better entries I've played this jam :)

Developer

Thank you for trying out my game.
I'll try to implement my ideas without major bugs and issues next time 😂

Loooks awesome, especially boat refflection in the water. Although it is very hard to stearing the boat and it take ages to move it. Nice job anyway

Developer

Thank you for the feedback.
I have to agree the boat movement needs a lot of tweaking.

Looks pleasant but quite hard. Would be much appreciated if ripple where at lease x2 more stronger.

and maybe ship could've maintain momentum a bit more, or that would cause the next problem on not stopping when needed? hard to tell.

Developer

Yeah the movement needs a few tweaks.
I couldn't get the right controls for it.

maybe holding space to slow down boat's momentum would solve it?

In any case, nice try!

Very cool idea and interpertation of the theme!

In practice I feel like the boat was too hard to control, or at least I didn't figure out how. Also on my first run I could see the star and aim for it, but on my second one I couldn't, and I didn't see option to look around

I really liked the idea of boat floating in space, and the sinking animation - very good use of simple graphics and effects

Developer

Thank you so much for playing the game and for the feedback
Yeah, the boat controls definitely ended up a bit trickier than I expected.
You can zoom out to check the location of the star or just hit the redo to relocate the star position.
Maybe its a bug and  I missed something somewhere lol
