I use mz! There's not an animations folder, but there is an effects folder. Idk if that's of much use

That's probably the one you wanna use, but since I don't have any experience wid MZ, I'm not sure? I know MZ does stuff a li'l differently from MV animations-wise, sooo... maybe check the MZ help file?

I believe in MZ you have to make the animations folder yourself. Do so and put your images in there. Once you do, go into the editor, open the database, and go to Animations. Right-click an animation slot and choose "Create MV-compatible data". Then you can make an old MV-style animation in MZ!
