I tried fixing it myself, but nothing seems to work :( Really wanted to try it out, looks fun

Thank you so much for trying to play my game. This was already the fourth file I'd uploaded to fix it. I wrote quite a few custom scripts within the engine for this game in a fairly primitive language (Ruby 1.8.1), in addition to the suspicious file warnings that I couldn't resolve when contacting itch.

But I really appreciate the attempt to play my game, even though I already had very low expectations due to the initial problems.

Thanks

So sorry man that this is flagged as suspicious, you probably had put some work into the game ...I guess this account is newly made and upload through this account is flagged as suspicious :(

Developer

Exactly, this is the first JAM I've participated in; I only discovered itch.io a few weeks ago.

Do you have any idea how I could address this? I contacted itch.io directly and haven't received a response yet :(

i had a similar situation on my account when it was new, but i was able to add and upload while they was preventing me from comment or reply, i contacted them and it fixed in about 2 days.

Thank you so much. I contacted them yesterday, but they haven't replied yet. For now, I'm using Butler and other measures to make my game more "reliable" for itch filters.

Thank you so much.

Developer

if the flag disapear (which is very likely since I use Butler) it would be incredible if you ever got to play it, thanks for the comment anyway

I'm trying all the jam games, so I definitely will

Also seeing that the download has been flagged as suspicious, and that someone who tried 16 hours ago got errors when trying to run it. Afraid I can't swing it - what'd you make the game in? Did you zip up all of the necessary exported components when uploading? If you download your game onto a different machine does it work?

The suspicious warning is due to the lack of a certain type of signature, which I don't have. I researched how to create a secure file, or at least one that wouldn't be detected as harmful to the computer or Windows, but unfortunately, I couldn't find any information on the matter. I always take the appropriate measures to protect my computer.
im sorry for the drawbacks

Your file has been flagged by itch as suspicious

Developer

I actually looked into it, and what I found is that a certain type of signature is needed so that Windows doesn't detect it as something dangerous. Also, as I mentioned before, I take precautions. It's a really big problem, I'm sorry.

Developer

I will contact itch; I didn't receive any notification about this. I apologize for the inconvenience.
