Theme interpretation and application
In this gamejam, one of my goal was to achieve a nice looking game using as few assets as possible. Hope it worked out well.. ( Also the mechanics are very minimal. )

Not really a Metroidvania in my opinion, but still a nice game with a very cute and unique art style, and a cozy and dreamy atmosphere! Some more sound effects would be nice, and even the attack sound is very quiet compared to the music.

Small, but a very relaxing and fun game!

Thank you!! :)

I honestly really loved the style and the atmosphere I wish I could see a longer fleshed out version!^^

Developer

That's very nice of you! I really hope to be able to work on this more! :>

I really like your whimsical art style. Hopefully you will be able to expand on this by adding a few more rooms and abilities.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked! And, I really hope so, I would love to work on this game more :)

really nice looking game, and plays well,

For me I think there would need to be another ability or 2 to gain and some sense of exploration to really land as a Metroidvania, but I really enjoyed the game that was there, and was a little disappointed to discover it was as small as was. I'd be interested in playing a longer version in the same style

I might understood “minimalistic” a bit differently ;-; Wish i’ve played other games beforehand ;-; and added more exploration ;-;  and use my time to work on the level design instead of the movement mechanics or coloring the assets ;-;

Anyways, I’m glad you like it! I really hope to continue working on this :)

The graphics are cute, but were there more features planned?

Developer (2 edits) (+1)

Well.. Short answer is yes :) I already have the entire lore in my mind hahahh  Even sketched the complete map, including all bosses etc. :D

However, the long answer is,

I would love to work on this game more but it really depends.. I'm a bit afraid to spend my weeks/months on a game that nobody wants to play T_T

Really simple and cute art and music, left me smiling

Developer

Thank you for your nice comment, it left me smiling :)

Music is from a very talented artist that I've met on discord ( if you'd like to check, Yuri's portfolio is in the game page but ima add also here: yurigore.com )

Lovely and cute, my favorite color pallet, and the music it`s great, my complements to the composer.

With this art style you’ve got a good start to build a great game in here please keep working on that.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much, it's very nice of you! I would love to continue working on this if there's a demand :) We'll see :)

For the music, I feel very lucky meeting with Yuri, his music is very nice, you need to check his portfolio (it's in the game page but lemme add also here: yurigore.com )!

I love the artstyle! The music is very pretty as well, 10/10 on the vibe and atmosphere :)

Developer

You're so nice, Thank you!!! :)

its short, but i love the art and music, maybe making everything smaller to have more space to design the levels would be better and even prettier

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

You're absolutely right, especially about the space! I wasn't sure to make the assets smaller because it was my first itch.io game and didn't know if the web version scales the game down...

Well.. I'm still happy, because it didn't matter much for this version imho (since there's no "death" ). However, if I'll be able to continue working on this game, I definitely will need to change the scale of everything, especially sheeps.

Thank you for your comment! :)

i made my game in 320x180, the mobs sprites are 8x8 and scale good in the web of itchio, i set the scale 4 times bigger in the page

Developer

Oh, I didn't know you can do that, I've exported the game with 1280 x 720 resolution, and uploaded also with 1280 x 720. I think itchio cropped the top and bottoms parts a bit but I am not sure.

Your game looks  very cool, I can't wait till weekend to have some time to try it!

I have difficulty on moving using WASD and it increased by using space for attack, although i enjoyed it so much, good job.

Developer

Oh no! I didn't have time to implement UI but the game uses Unity's new input system, so it's very easy to change the keys or even add a controller input! Sorry that you had to use my Hollow Knight key bindings for this game :"D, hopefully this will be fixed if there'll be an update.....(+ thank you! I'm glad you like! :) )
