This is very cute, def made me smile. Didn't totally see how descent factored in, but I think the game is charming enough to get away with it.

Thank you! The theme "descent" was kinda shoved into the game as in "you **descend** from a great cheff" could have been a lot better haha. Enyways glad you enjoyed it :)

This was flawlessly executed, nice physics and no bugs, I played all the way through.

Developer

That is really nice to hear!

Love the concept ! Like those kitchen games with a bit of physicality. Would have love to see ingredients have different properties like some are more heavy some roll, some explodes cause for now there is not a lot of progression (but I loved the saw) and some other play on physics, but it's jam scope so it would have been over scoped. Great premise, the blender lid is the final boss.

Developer

Thank you! ... and the lid is how i incorperated eldritch horror :)

Was planning to have different properties, but had to down scope to finnish within the week

Interesting. Did you manage to close the lid? It uses physcics detection between the lid and the tentacle

Great game, it took me a little bit to understand what to do but when I got it the experience was very fun and charming, really enjoyed my time with it. Good job!

This is a great game! I was a bit confused at the start because I didn't know what was up with the blender and wasn't sure how to get stuff on the skewers, but I figured that out fairly quickly. I really enjoyed the gameplay, it was pretty simple but also just enough to make it enjoyable over the 7 days. I do kind of wish there was more progression though. You get a new ingredient every day, but it doesn't feel like it actually changes the game all that much. The saw is good, it changes the gameplay enough to make the player feel like they're really progressing. Also I think adding a timer would also make the game a bit more interesting too, something to make the game more panicked and chaotic (if that's what you were going for). But I really did like the gameplay and had fun completing the game, great job!

Developer

Thank you! Loved your entry as well :)

great job! was a little confused at first because I had the hardest time closing the blender and putting the food on the skewer (I didn't realize it had to be in a particular spot otherwise it doesn't work). but once I got the hang of it, i got all the way to the end! great work!

I'd appreciate if you could rate/play my game as well! :)

While the link to the theme feels a bit tenable I didn't dislike the idea of cooking with odd objects with multiple limbs. Perhaps the multiple-limbs could have been exploited as a gameplay element, not sure. The mechanics and recipes gain in complexity but feel fairly intuitive and it was fun enough to play till the end. All in all, nice, and pretty polished for a jam this duration.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback! I agree the theme inclusion was a bit lacking, but glad you enjoyed it nevertheless :)

The art and mechanics are beautiful, interesting and fun to interact with. I liked how the other tentacles move to help carry things across the entire length of the counter. The opening newspaper clippings is such a simple idea, but added tons of humor and made the world seem more inhabited and full. I just struggled to know what to do at times, that might just be an issue with me, but in-game instructions could've eased my skill deficiency a bit. Thanks for this unique experience, hope to see what you come out with next.

really glad you enjoyed the game! I absolutely agree that the game lacks instructions, that fault is on my end.  Also happy too see you following haha!
