I'll definitely be playing more of this, really cool game.

Took me a while to work out the rules, but this was pretty good! There was a really enjoyable level of strategy, and the AI seemed really competent. The only thing I can critique was that (as I mentioned earlier) the tutorial could use some work; the main thing that tripped me up was that the "how to play" section didn't mention anything about dice rolling, so I didn't immediately understand the logic behind how my pieces were moving. I would also recommend maybe adding a tween of some kind to the pieces as they moved instead of just teleporting them to their desired spot on the board, which would make it a little easier to visualize how pieces are moving.

The AI is really impressive, was difficult to predict what it’s going to do and it outplayed me a lot. I will keep trying though!

Satisfying to play, and I enjoyed learning about an ancient game I didn't know.

Love the presentation, the big chunky blocks and the sounds and colours and effects are all great. Nice job fitting it into the spy theme too, you made it work!

I really appreciate being taught an ancient game in a modern futuristic style like this, the sound effects were just enough to keep me keyed in, and I found myself at one point thinking how the music was a super simple loop that somehow never got annoying.  I liked how moves were presented as feasible or not, and how the strategizing is so latent in the game though I know that's more an aspect of the game Ur itself it makes this game more fun, anticipating moves from the opponent and either being relieved when they don't eliminate you or wincing when they are clearly outdoing you in other ways. Eliminating enemy pieces was really satisfying everytime. I barely won by a single extraction when me and the AI each had one piece left a single block from the extraction point! So the final move was decided after multiple failed dice rolls until I finally got the 1 intel needed to move into the goal. Very lucky.

This is really cool, I've heard of the game of ur before but have never played any variant of it. If I had to give any complaint I guess it would be nice to have more of a tutorial to explain what's going on, but after playing for a little while it became really clear really fast. I think you could've leaned into the theme more and maybe made the pieces little spies or something but honestly I think it was really cool regardless and fit, though a bit abstract

Same thoughts but hand't time to put human like figures. I wanted to have agents with random generated names :.) I added the How To Play button as well but should have placed it first in the menu! Hinting the available actions when hovering the figures, besides of marking available movements with particles and a little particle effect when moving was something I felt I had to do because, indeed, without them the game made veeery little sense.

This is an awesome, hooking and tricky game, but I can hardly see how it might be connected to the Jam theme

Thanks! The jam was just an excuse, I must confess! But as I progressed, I really enjoyed giving it that tactic-vibe of spionage, thinking of pieces as agents rather than mere pieces. That's why, for example, instead of "spawn, move, kill and extract", I shifted to "deploy, advance, eliminate and extract". Regarding the theme, it is clearly more focused on cost-of-opportunity and wise choices rather than stealth and infiltration.
