I love the idea, this was really funny but dang, it was sooooo haaaard! I think the is good and it’s mostly tuning.

  • Ingredients felt completely random so I caught them when I could and placed them on the table, not realizing I then couldn’t remove them. Let them be removed so I can prep on one table and assemble on the other.
  • Also, having cut items slow orbit would have been great.
  • Favor spawning the required ingredients. The extra mile would be an area of things within reach to also detect the item made it in. Several times what I needed hit something else and never made it close enough.
  • I’d try an infinite knife block, it always has on ready.

The IK worked really well and I think it’s a great take on the theme as well as cooking games.

Fun concept! I was terrible at this game; it took me a solid 20 minutes of practice before I could fill even some of the orders. Might have been because the arm controls were left to right, with no verticality? The ability to remap those would have helped a lot, I think.
It's a bit frustrating to have to wait for a piece of food that you need for longer than 10 seconds. I would prefer to have the time to complete the order be less and the window for getting what you need be tighter.
Music had some fun ideas, but not not nearly enough harmonic variation for the amount of time on the level. More than two chords please!

When I saw you making this in discord, I just knew I would be terrible at it. I was right. 😂 After several attempts, I finally did make it past the tutorial and into the real game and managed to earn $62. I did find a bug in the tutorial though. If you can't make the food in time, the alien leaves anthe game doesn't progress. No more ingredients come, the text doesn't change, and no other aliens show up. This may have happened to me more than once... 😂 Also, I would have loved a knife respawn button, because sooo many times the knife was floating just out of reach and I had to wait a loooooooong time for it to finally float offscreen so it would respawn. Despite all that, I thought it was super fun and really well done. Very nice entry!

Oh, and I was playing the windows version if that matters for the bug!

Oooh they're leaving in the tutorial?? I coded for their patience not decay while in the tutorial, but sometimes the code is just stubborn. And yeaah, I had a really hard time trying to figure out how to improve the knife spawn system, and the button never came to mind! Noted. Bugs beside, thank you for playing!

What a super interesting game that I suck at.

The mechanics and controls handle really well and it feels pretty polished. I'm really bad at multitasking so switching between hands really did me in, but when you make an order and send it off it's really satisfying.

The biggest heartbreak is when I struggled through an order finally completing it only to fling it wide of the customer, might never recover.

Good work.

Okay I did beyond terribly, so I asked a god gamer friend to play instead. He's got bad eye sight so he had trouble reading the font and identifying the items, so hey I got to contribute with my eyeballs  :D There was some serious cheering the frist time we managed to throw a dish at a customer after restarting 5 or so times. I wish the tentacles had a bit of magnetism to them once you held something with them but then switch or there was a safe box to store things in. Holy space cow. Tough game :D Good job!

I'm shocked that I managed to perform well in this game, the mechanics actually worked fairly decently to me! The premise is great, the context is silly and the controlls work surprisingly well, I actually managed to make a couple of sandwiches with little to no problem! I've played the web version so the unfortunate graphical compromises made the onboarding a bit harder, but it still didn't hinder the experience that much. Bravo!

This is QWOP combined with Overcooked. I ended up just throwing knives at customers, as is reasonable and justified.

I love everything about this game!! The art, music, and chaos are all super fun. It's a skill issue on my part but I was SO BAD at controlling all four tentacles! Also sometimes I'd throw an order and it wouldnt even get to the alien and instead the order would fly off the screen which just added to the hilarity.

I would love it if there were a two player mode and you could play couch co-op with a friend maybe at the same keyboard. This game reminds me a bit of Octodad which I also enjoyed playing co-op with a friend!

Really solid entry and very cool take on the theme.

Tons and tons of fun just grabbing the ingredients and sending out orders one after the other !

A way to rebind the controls would have been great for this game, half the battle is memorizing which button allows you to control which tentacle. Once you know the four inputs by heart though it feels super nice to go off into a flow state of just grabbing the stuff that flies around you, all while making and throwing out orders at clients!

I absolutely loved it ^^

Really neat game thats fun to play, I liked the tutorial enough to download the exe and it really does feel and look a lot better. I spent too long trying to make the orders in order before realising you can just put in whatever you have.

It's a really cool idea! I was not able to make the alien's burger order - I had all the ingredients near each other on the board but they just floated there, probably needed to do something with them but I couldn't figure it out haha :) Regardless, I loved the concept!

Developer

Ohh you probably didn't chop the ingredients? I tried making the tutorial as clear as possible but... I understand the controls are not that intuitive. Anyway, thank you for taking time to play our game!

Wow so cool! I really enjoyed the difficulty of this and I thought it was a super fun to play!

I love the look and sounds of the game. I struggled a lot with the controls, I cant get my brain to swap tentacles right enough to make even one meal.
