Very nice! I like the animations and the art direction. I felt there was a slight difference in timing between jumping and ducking. I had to be very careful to duck at the last moment, unlike jumping, which had to be done much earlier to anticipate the next one. I don't know if this was intentional or not (or if it's just me).
In any case, well done! :)
Ducking the roots is hard!
You got a nice infinite runner. GJ
The art was really nice, but the controls could feel a bit more responsive. If I'm holding down the directional key, staying in that position would mean a lot less guesswork on the timings. Thank you for submitting
This looks so gud! You say it didn't get done? What were you planning to add? The duck timing does seem very tight, but probably only because the distance to the obstacle is tricky to tell from the angle. Duck could also simply be somthing you can keep holding? Now i wanna hold a duck :<
Good direction with the art style, controls are really responsive and smooth. I liked the animations for ducking and jumping too. My only critique is ducking felt bad cause player would stand back up earlier than expected. Other than that I really liked the game, fun and lookes great!
The timing for the duck seems too tight, and it really needed a full screen option so we could appreciate the art!
Good entry. Art style is interesting. Should be a fullscreen button.
Nice work! Echoing some other comments, the slide was too tight for me, lots of standing up into branches happened. It would have been great to preselect the continue button, after a brief pause, to make it easy to restart. It also would have been great to see how I stacked against my previous scores but obviously jam timeframe makes this stuff hard.
Very polished with a nice aesthetic and lighting. This may just be me personally, but I felt the ducking was too tight. Every single time I died it was because I ducked less than a second too soon, and I always had perfect inputs on trees and spikes. Extended the time spent ducking could help.
Cool idea, I liked the viking theme, good job on the submission :)
Holy moly the polish is amazing! Art, music and even the small things like the intro screen. Good job!
Nice take on a classic runner! Art and audio was great, death anim was very satisfying lol. Would love to see WASD also work for arrows + the slide timing felt a little tight/unforgiving. Got it eventually but felt very tough at the beginning.
Well done on your first jam, it's a really lovely game!
This is a really polished endless runner! I think the web build size is misconfigured though because it only took up about 25% of the page size.
the graphics were super awesome on this one! also love a good endless runner and the web page was stylish. great work!
I love the atmosphere of your game. The art is insanely good! The SFX and music are also on point. Really good entry, I enjoyed it a lot!
music and sfx are really nice! fun gameplay too.
Great job on the graphics! Gameplay works well, classic endless runner, nice theme. Good job!
