Game Description
As Bubs the bubble, split yourself apart and take down the germs infecting the sink!

How does your game tie into the theme?
Bub's motion is slippery and holds it's momentum, the game cares about bub's mass for how hard it is to start and stop motion

Managed to complete the game, meaning difficulty is spot on, as I usually get frustrated when it's too hard. Nice art and music.

Seems like complete short game, congrats!

Edit: One thing came to my mind: last level could have some big final boss instead being a little more difficult version of previous one.

Cool take and original concept for this theme! Congrats on getting a nice progression with multiple mechanics and even a tutorial in there. The bubbly sound worked well too. At some point I discovered just camping my soapy sponge friend was the dominant strategy, and the idea of splitting a bubble didn't come to mind anymore bc it would automatically grow and split. That being said, I had fun and can see you worked hard on this. Great job <3

Fun take on the theme - and great job for being your first submission. Don't think I have seen a game quite like this one before, the splitting mechanic was a fun and interesting, really like how you introduced element by element, only recommendation would be to make the conclusion a little more obvious - thought I lost or quit back to the menu.

Thanks for submitting, keep them coming

What I liked best? The tutorial drip feeding game mechanics as-and-when they were needed.

Nice graphics, and fun.

This was really addictive! Great implementation to make the bubbles duplicate once its too big. I think its very polished and satisfying to get the bubbles super big and crush the germs. Well Done! :D

Enjoyed it! As I was playing I thought, “This sink should have a drain,” and lo the next level you introduced a drain. Perfect pacing!

i really like how this game actually feels like cleaning, the soap effects are very satisfying. especially when you ahve a lot of bubbles going on at once :)

speaking of, i eventually figured it out on my own but i think the importance of splitting your bubble up could've been better explained, ahah, it makes the game a lot easier when you do figure it out

i do understand what you were going for with the slippery controls, but i think if the controls were a little bit more responsive, it'd lend itself to a lot more strategy. i think right now, it's a bit difficult to get the bubble to do what you want it to, and combined with the lives system, the later levels kind of just turned into me spamming space and hoping for the best. still, i think the core idea is really fun and with some tweaking i think u could have a really unique puzzle game on your hands here, definitely worth developing this idea further, id say ^^ great job to the both of you!

Yeah, nailing the player controller on this is the challenge. We definitely overtuned the scaling on mass vs speed -- large bubs feel too slow and small bubs are way too slippery. We had hoped that level 3 would be the push towards getting players to build armies, but probably could have better conveyed the idea that your "bullets" that you shoot are also just Bubs and can also grow and split once they're big enough.

I really had fun with this one! Creative game idea, was pretty easy but very satisfying. I loved just spamming the screen with bubbles and then sending them over to the germs to wipe them out. Really fun game, enjoyed it a lot, good job!

This brought me back to the Flash game days when you could stumble upon all kinds of unique and unusual projects, and you can really feel that the creator had a bunch of interesting ideas they wanted to bring to life in a way you just don't see from polished studio projects.

I really like how easy you made it to just continually multiply your bubbles without limit and overwhelm the enemy through sheer mass. It was fun just hugging the sponge and building my army for awhile before rushing across the screen like a tidal wave.

Feedback:

- The restart button is too close to the continue button, easy to accidently restart.

- Player is abit too fast.

Apart from that, I like it. Reminds me of agar.io. Well done.

I like it when things are clean, and this game is all about keeping things clean. Everything must be clean, or else I'm not good enough.... anyways I like this game, because it keeps things clean!

This game is so cute and fun to play! I really liked the mechanic of sliding around the sink trying to clean up germs.  I was getting so into this game and felt like things were definitely ramping up towards the end. I feel like I could easily sink more hours into this game if there were more levels. Amazing job and very cool take on the theme!

It's actually quite original to bring about a strategy that says "spawn many bubbles and spread them around so they hit things more than they hit you". The chaos that forms from the challenge can require a level of management that I don't normally utilize for such a simple task.

T’was very fun! The bubble was a pain to control but as everyone else has said that was probably the intention. The premise was also very cool and unique. Overall solid game :3

A lot of potential to work with here, cool concept!

Wow, this game is chonky and has a lot going for it, I really dig the idea and the progression was great, the challenge ramps up perfectly. The bubble was a bit unwieldly, but that's part of the fun and it fits the theme! Very original concept, I wish the real dishwashing was this  fun

Not sure where my comment went I am so sure I posted it. I had a lot of fun playing I just wish we got to explore the mechanics more with additional levels but thats always the struggle in game jams, making enough content but not too much. Also I think I made a few too many Bub's

Developer

Isn't it just so satisfying to hit the split button when you have this many bubs and hear the cacophany of "Bloop!" sound effects?

Developer(+1)

HOW DID YOU MAKE SO MANY?!

Submitted(+2)

Great concept, a little hard to control though. Very cute as well.

Neat game. It was reasonably challenging (I lost at some point rip), but not too hard to finish. I like the duplication from the sponge and the cover art that you made. Nice job!

Submitted(+2)

Fun concept, the bubbles felt a bit unresponsive/hard to control sometimes but I assume that was the intention
