Use of the limitation
The player has a limited number of soul pieces. Each time they die, they lose one, but get stronger up to a certain point. Lose all of them ans the game ends.

Nice game, but I would love to have maybe checkpoints and not having to trade my soul every time I die for a buff. It’s a really solid game. Love the music!
Got the good ending, kinda neat, very pretty portrait arts
The soul pieces are such a cool concept - I like that they are a trade-off of risking the end of the game and also giving you a buff.
Conceptually this is really neat -a roguelite where there's a tradeoff to powering up between runs. It would have been nice to see some other negative effects as you traded pieces of your soul other than just game over at the end.
