It feels like a downgrade from previous demos. The world so far is overstretched without much interesting going on. Instead of uniformly placed enemies, making encounters with more pressure in less comfortable spaces would be more memorable.

I hope the music at the end of the demo isn't the new marble oasis track. I loved the previous rendition.

Maybe I'm too brainrotted but it seemed really slow to me. It takes a while to start combat and you use the same weapon for a long time. The first thing you get is a dash and that's also a fair bit into the game. I think the basics are really well made and it feels nice to play but I would consider giving players more toys to play from earlier on. It also showers you with health pickups so I didn't need to pay much attention to the enemies and even then a lot of them get wasted because you're full which doesn't feel nice.

Good job so far, it looks solid from a technical standpoint. I would like to see something that draws the player in better gameplay-wise in the future though

I played it twice, it wasn't able to catch me. I think the pacing is slow, it took me a lot of running around to finally find combat which felt underwhelming, the only first enemies that I thought were fun and interesting were the tripod dudes who were shooting back.

I really like the theme and aesthetics, it seems beautifully crafted

Is it possible that the music feels a bit repetitive? After 30mins it seemed like I was listening to the same thing each couple seconds, although I really liked it at first, it fit the theme really well.

As a side note, I'm worried that this game seems to be made for the sega genesis and won't be able to find an audience, but that's just a worry and not a prediction.

let me know if you think I didnt give the game a fair chance and I should play further, I felt like I wanted to move on to other games

I think that's a perfectly fair critique, it's the first area of the game so i didn't want to go super hard on the enemies or combat just yet, but I could see it being a little boring. The pacing at the game's intro is for sure not quite there yet, lots of walking through empty rooms. Needs adjustment

I think the game will get significantly more fun deeper into it once more movement tech gets unlocked and you're more free to explore, but balancing things out for the starting region to be fun is definitely super important, first  impressions really matter

thank you for playing

Played until the first boss, good ambiance all around. The press B to shake off enemies popup persists after dying, game could use a 'sprint after holding right for 3 seconds' feature so runners can get the slide sooner.

Very fun, The only problem I noticed is that the little critters that pop up can very rarely run off screen slightly but I was still able to shoot and kill them just by firing into the direction they were in, past the transition
