Great idea and exectuion, it's a bit unbbalanced, but the mechanics make up for it.

Nice game! I didn't fully understand it at first, but once you get it it's actually a pretty fun concept. I like that you added different dice amounts too. If you could add more visual for the player experience that would be great!

Developer

yes better visuals were on the plan. I even started on a pile of gold in 3d that would show next to the UI, but time didnt allow for it so I had to cut it. Also I wanted to roll the dice in 3d, but yea, also time. And the plan was for sides to have different values, not just 1 to 10 on a 10 sided die, but maybe a lot of 1s and some 20s or w/e. Maybe I will get back to it. Thanks for playing

once you get it, its pretty cheese-able but for 3 hours, that's really impressive what you've done! Great job!

Developer

Thanks for  playing and your comment. Yes, the game is both too easy and too luck based. I did not have time to do a the work of "game design" and "math" to figure out how to balance the game :D

Nice concept! However as you wrote on the gamepage its pretty unbalanced but hey, time limit was 3h so ball innn (My game is hella unbalanced aswell xD). Imo maybe player should start with more money, or shop discount? Overall good job.

Very nice game, took me a second to understand it. Beat it on my second attempt. Good job :)

Pretty fun game. I think the beginning could use some buffer, since you have to roll at least once, then buy a dice to afford the next tax, you're held to the whims of the dice.

I could see it getting some cool interactions with buffs/debuffs like balatro or cloverpit

Yes, the start is pretty rough. I ran out of time, or I would have spent time on finding out some math that made it challenging enough. In adjusting it from being way to easy, I made it too hard. Thanks for playing it and giving feedback. I do think there is potential here to come back to. For example I imagined the dice to not be normal dice, but have different values, like a 1d4 with sides 1,1,1,10, for example.
