Really nice game! Brilliant interpretation of the theme and very nice sound. It could definitely be expanded upon (new resources to collect and the ability to add dice) in the future.

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind words! I owe a lot of the game's feel to the sound designer! They really tailored the sound to make this game feel like a complete experience! I am definitely going to look into expanding this game, so thank you for the ideas and suggestions! Thanks for stopping in and playing, this was a fun jam!

I hit 5 doubles in a row I should buy a scratcher. I like the design of the ship, enemies, and sound. It would be a cool game to add something like "buy more dice" or to have scaling of the enemies / weapons.

Developer (1 edit)

Wow! Yeah, the rolls are completely randomized by the system, and the odds of that happening are 1 in 7,776!! I think you just used up your scratcher in the game, unfortunately! lol

Jokes aside, thank you for the comment and the ideas! I definitely think I could rebuild this into something more robust! With the time allotted, I just wanted to make sure I made some sort of complete game. I was just barely able to get this in the 3 hours (I was very strict with my time, and made sure of saving every second possible).  The nice thing is that this design was very easy to implement, and most of this was just a numbers game. There wasn't a ton of programming needed for the visual and movement aspects, so I got to work on the backend for most of the jam and didn't have to touch much of the front-end.

*Our sound designer is amazing! They did every sound and music in the game, using only hardware! There's some info about them on the game page if interested in reading about it.

Thank you again for trying out the game! I appreciate you!

Pretty good game, but I'm not sure not having any ammo matters, or you can die at all, but maybe I was just very lucky.

Developer (2 edits)

Thank you! You die if the enemy runs into you without a shield, or if the Timer runs out, mentioned in rules in both the game and on the page. You need ammo to shoot enemies in order to gain frag points. You could technically load up on Shields, but you don't get frag points for killing enemies by crashing into the shields. Thanks again for playing!

Sorry, it appears I missed that, thank you for clarifying!

Developer

No worries! Thanks for taking your time check it out! :)

No problem! I enjoyed it.

Great game! I rolled double immediately so didn't quite understand the game first attempt! Thought I got pretty far but forgot to buy ammo in the end. Good job

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you for the kind words! Was there anything in the instructions I could clear up for players? I've been attempting to refine them so as not to confuse anyone. Thank you again!

The project feels like it's been mastered. The gameplay is engaging, there's a challenge, there are dice, and there's a price for those dice (I never thought I'd mind getting a double, heh). It could be developed into something good for Steam, like Bit Blaster once was

Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! I owe so much to our sound fx and music designer! They added so much value to the game, and knew exactly what was needed when I tried explaining, and was able to create the sounds so quickly, all on hardware! But yes, I really appreciate your words. I think I might rebuild this after the jam and go for a fun little game! Thank you and good luck!

This is so good! The sound design is on point and the graphics are so simple and so effective. Fun to play too! I scored ~108. I think this is definitely an idea worth continuing! Good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for comments! I know the sound designer will appreciate it! They provided every sound and effect you hear in the game. Definitely lifted the game up with its vibes! I did try to keep the gameplay and graphics as simple as possible so I had more time to fine-tune everything else in the background. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement, and thank you for playing the game!

Title was very deceiving. Was not miserable at all! Really fun game. Rolling doubles for the first time was a bit of a scare!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you so much for the kind words! I owe much of the games aesthetics to the sound and music designer. But yeah, they come rushing at you pretty quick when you roll them pairs. Glad you had some fun reactions from the game! Thank you for stopping in to test it out! I also LOVED your game! I had played last night and had to send the link to my sound designer.

Really nice! Gets a bit repetitive, but that's to be expected from such a short time window. Love the concept!

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you, and yes, definitely repetitive. I might rebuild the game after the jam, add to the concept such as a large variety of weapons, items, and power-ups and see where it goes. Thank you so much for the comment and playing!

Very cool! I could for sure seeing this be a really fun game with more time put into it! The game is a really good foundation great job!

Developer (2 edits)

Thank you very much! I was trying to stay away from obvious dice games and use case. I owe a lot of my games vibe to the sound and music designer! I appreciate your feedback!

Cool game! You should add modifiers or something

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Hey, thank you so much! Was just about to play your entry as well. Yes, definitely could use more "stuff", such as powerups. I owe a lot of the vibe of the game to the sound designer. They did such a great job! if the game does well enough in the jam, I may rebuild the game into something more robust! Thank you for the nice comment again, and good luck!

Go for it! Game is looking really polished for 3h of work. Good luck!
