Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
The moment I saw the theme, I immediately thought of The Creation of Adam. I wanted to tell a story about God and Man.
The initial framework was simple: a puzzle platformer where the protagonist, Adam, ascends through levels on a lonely journey to finally touch God.
The theme implies a duality, but I didn't intend to make a two-player game. Instead, my idea was to let the player control both "Man" and "God" simultaneously.
"Man" is the entity walking in the world. He is fragile and has no special abilities—no dash, no climb, no double jump—just simple jumping. He dies easily in this primitive world.
"God," however, possesses infinite power. He can shift the celestial phenomena, toggle between Day and Night, and alter nature (like water levels and wind) or even time itself. But there is one rule: He cannot directly intervene with Man.
Thus, the player embodies both entities. Usually, players project themselves onto the little character controlled by WASD. However, I specifically introduced the Day/Night switching mechanic using the mouse (the right hand) so that, in the end, the player realizes they are also "God." It was never a lonely journey; God has been walking alongside Man all along.
Even so, the path must be walked by Man.
At the end of the story, I designed an impassable cliff. "God" (the player's mouse cursor) becomes immobile, resting quietly on the other side. When the player is guided to jump off the cliff, they will notice that the ID number of "Adam" in the top-left corner increments, and his corpse forms a new path.
This is where the theme's true meaning emerges: the player is not the only Adam, but one of thousands. Each Adam paves the way for the next. "Genesis" is not achieved solely by God's might, but by the sacrifice of countless humans. Finally, the player touches the Hand of God, bringing this great, lonely journey of connection and creation to a close.
Of course, there is a small narrative Easter egg at the end: Is God truly God? Perhaps this is just a higher-dimensional program, and the player is simply the administrator. Controlling "God" with the mouse is, in itself, a way to break the fourth wall. I believe it is a fascinating experience for players to feel these two identities—God and Man—as both opposing and symbiotic.

Beautiful art and music. The jump sound really breaks the atmosphere, though.
Controls are uncomfortable. Gamepad support would have been ideal but just adding a day/night key would be a major improvement. Switching from keyboard to mouse goes from uncomfortable to impossible once you need to switch in mid jump.
The game was very beautiful, and the gameplay was really enjoyable as well. The art style was simple yet very pretty, and the night and day mechanic was awesome. One bug I noticed is that when jumping through this space (as shown in the image), I got stuck under the platform and couldn’t move. But that’s just a minor issue overall, it’s a very pretty and impressive game!
Art style is wonderful and reminds me of Nomada Studio's work with the shapes/shading.
Day/Night mechanic was easy to figure out and fun! Implementation of a map was really cool too. Really appreciative of the flow/animations of the cape of the character.
I really like the subtle white geometric particle patterns, added to the environment a lot!
Waiting for the tree to grow as day/night passes was an awesome implementation of the mechanic as well.
Awesome job with this!
The gameplay design is both romantic and relaxing. The art and music are so immersive—the moment I opened the game, I felt the joy of being in a forest deep at night. The music is absolutely amazing! I love it!
The control make me a bit uncomfortable, but it has a good vibe and art direction!
Really cohesive game. I like the concept but after a while the game mechanic felt too simple. Music is good but the fact it was AI to me didn't cut it for me
I think the concept and creativity behind this game are brilliant! The idea of using two hands to control a human and God separately is innovative and fits the theme perfectly. I really love this concept.
However, regarding the actual gameplay, the mechanics for the right hand feel a bit too simple. There is definitely potential to create much richer gameplay mechanics there! Also, I absolutely love the visuals and art style!
Beautiful art. A shame that the background music was AI generated, though. It was also a bit disappointing to see that the night/day mechanic was mostly just turning some platforms on and off. I would have loved to see more interactions like the one with the tree! That said, it's an impressive game for a jam. I would definitely play a full version. Nice job!
Beautiful art and amazing puzzle design. It is clear you have put a lot of thought into it. My suggestion is the same as others, it's nice to have other ways of interaction for the sun/moon.
I really liked most of the art in the game, especially the backgrounds. The music was also nice. Some of the art felt a bit inconsistent with the rest, especially the flame and spikes. I also noticed that the character was floating slightly above their platform. As another commentor said, it'd be nice to have the light switch mapped to a button. Overall this was a great entry, congrats.
Nice looking game and great music. I had a hard time while jumping and clicking on the moon at the same time for some platforming sections, it would have been nice if I could switch day/night with a key instead, but I had a great time playing it.
Cute and beautiful!
I loved the night and day mechanic. I had a great time!
This is a fantastic take on the theme. I can see this being expanded into a much larger Metroid Vania game with different environments/enemies. Using the mouse to click was definitely a bit frustrating at times, but I only kept going until I got stuck in between a platform. With that being said, the music and art style are awesome and I enjoyed it!
the music and art are soooo goood, i loved the chill vibes overall!! i do wish the sun / moon movement was a bit smoother, i do ALSO wish the swapping day / night was easier and not reliant on clicking the sun/moon cause it was hard to swap mid jump for me (but im also bad at games.), it was also hard to tell which parts of the tree are platforms or not... but other than thatt! awesome game!! good job omg!!
beautiful art
really cool art
Something that would really benefit the game is moving away from the mouse directly on the moon/sun: during some more tight platforming sections, it can really be distracting since the position of the moon is not fixed - I would suggest moving it to a simple click anywhere on the level or to another key.
Great work!
