Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
Echoing Michelangelo’s painting, the game centers on two separated beings advancing toward a single point of reunion. Their wandering paths reflect the human impulse to explore, delaying the moment when they finally come together at the center.

Damn ! Nice game

Feedback from an anonymous playtester:

I think the combination of a board-game feel with real time is very interesting, though it would need some more board-game like strategies available for it to feel less unfairly random. Now I can't tell when an ice cube might thaw and thus I'm not able to plan my strategies, and result to kind of spamming movement and hoping it works.

The theme is good, as well as the visuals. I also did not notice any problems in the Sound effects and UI / UX, only thing would be that the Vivaldi piece is maybe a bit too dynamically intense to continue listening to during the whole game.

Very good game. I like to try it without reading the instructions at first to see if the mechanics are accessible just by reading the game. And I must say that yes, I quickly understood what to do and how to do it. Well done. It's good game design work.

I like the SFX at the beginning of the game (a rolling die) to imply that the appearance of ice floes will be random. That's clever.

Oof, this was such an amazing game! The gameplay was fantastic, and I loved that you added difficulty levels..I wouldn’t have thought of such a gameplay integration for the theme, and it’s a great idea. As for issues, I didn’t face anything major, except one time when a researcher totally went missing in-game (like invisible), but that was minor. Otherwise, the game felt like publishing level quality.

Thank you! Curious about the bug you mentioned. You said, mid-game? Of course, in case of failure, a researcher drowns and disappears—but you’re not talking about that, right?

Submitted

No, I’m not talking about that. Just this one time, when I moved a researcher to another block, he completely disappeared even though the ice block hadn’t broken. It  resolved after the level reset, when the block that the vanished researcher was on eventually broke.

This game truly blew me away! I love how it combines Minesweeper-style gameplay with timing and reflexes, all wrapped in such a clever setting.

I think it’s absolutely perfect, and I look forward to seeing more strategic depth. Honestly, this is the only game so far that I want to follow for future updates! You did an amazing job.

This is everything I look for in a jam game. Learn in a couple clicks, succeed in a few tries, replay at will with ever increasing difficulty. Sharp execution of all details. Great job

This was fun and really well polished! I found the ice floes melting to be pretty unpredictable / stressful so I don't know if I ever arrived at a real  strategy, but you executed on this simple concept really well :)

Thank you. If you focused on any single floe, you’d notice that it appears and disappears at regular intervals. But they all begin at different delays, and you can’t track multiple floes at once—hence the illusion of randomness. I’m sure you noticed, though: a floe’s color shifts a few seconds before it vanishes, so it’s somewhat predictable.

This was really fun, my best score was 56 on Large. Easy to learn hard to get good at. The pressure of the disappearing icebergs was a great touch.

It's impressive you literally did a web game, it's the first time I see it. I like the concept, there's some sort of Minesweeper-like gameplay here, but I didn't expect it to be an action game, that's cool. It can be expanded easily into a full game I'd say, there's room for many cool mechanics with this concept! Maybe one downside is that once you found the strategy, right now, there's not much things preventing you from repeating it over and over again.
Overall I like it a lot, and the art is impressive!
