Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
We interpreted the theme as two worlds that cannot touch each other directly, but interact through space. That's why there are 2 decks of cards in our game, and the decks don't really like each other. Try to cope with powerful, but not obedient forces and unleash their might on the invaders of the world.

The narrative interpretation complements the gameplay interpretation. Hell and Heaven have joined forces through a guide (Player) to defeat the forces of the Void, which threaten them both equally.

From the Feedback Pairing:

After playing Divided Hand, the gameplay was what stood out to me the most. I enjoyed the concept of having to juggle between defense and attack cards. Although the game loop is unique and interesting, it got a little repetitive after a while. I would suggest maybe making it a realtime with cooldowns instead of turns to introduce the element of speed to decision making. Overall for the short time of a game jam, I believe this gameplay is well done.

For the visuals of the game, I think the art is well done and has a lot of good design language to the cards and UI. The only thing that gives me a hard time when it comes to the visuals is when the hand size gets bigger and the cards get hidden behind UI button elements, making it impossible to see the cost or descriptions sometimes. Overall, the art and UI felt the most polished with its animations and responsiveness. The art of the sprites and card elements were really beautifully incorporated and polished.

The game feel was well refined and has a lot of potential to continue developing into a larger project. Great job!

Slay the Spire has my heart, so I can only approve of the idea. Good job.

I beat the last boss on first run, I don't know if there's a random generation of runs and if I missed some content but this was really cool, I managed to create a strategy, build a deck I like and the dual deck mechanic is clever. I like card games and doing this in 2 weeks is a real achievement. Well done! As others said, some explanations in game would be nice, but besides that you nailed it!

Fun little game! I like the dual-concept, but I wish I could see what the different status effects did by hovering over them.

很好的创意,如果在使用技能前进行更多说明就更好了!

Great idea, it would be even better if there were more explanations before using the skills!

Good art, and very creative and fitting mechanic! An impressive amount of content for a jam, too. It's not easy to create such a sense of strategic depth in such a limited time. An explanation of what the status effects do would've been nice, though. Regardless, I would love to see this turned into a full game!

This was super fun to figure out, you did an awesome job making this in such a short time. I got to stage 5 and died with just the dragon remaining and I can't wait to try again!

Really clever take on the theme, I enjoyed having to consider both hands at once to do cool synergies.
