The environment and effects are good! I think the hitbox could be tuned a bit.

I really like this, the music is fantastic, the art and theme is very good, and I love the little backstory. I have to agree with others though, that I had to get used to the hitbox, because it is quite hard to see when I will hit and when I won't, and I am quite vulnerable even when I learnt the enemy's attacks. I think with adding some more enemies, adding some movement to the player and give some visual cue to the hitbox, this can be a grate base of a longer game I would gladly play with :D

Unusual game. I liked it! But I have a couple of remarks.

  1. It's not always clear whether you hit an enemy or not.
  2. The player character is very slow and dies to 2-3 enemies in a matter of seconds. Let's say, if the player's current speed is 1, then it should feel more like 1.3, or maybe add a dash ability with a short cooldown. That way, the player would always have a chance to avoid damage and feel like a champ

Good looking game! But, unfortunately, I couldn't really figure out the gameplay ... maybe it's just too late for me...

Liked the broken death screen effect though! :-)
