I love the system you've developed here, the UI design is very well done. The vibes where great overall. I wish there was an option to pass by an event, I just used random items I had in my inventory so I could continue. I like the music track overall, but it's a bit loud and overpowers some of the other sound effects. Good entry, congrats.

Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
My interpretation of the theme, "connecting with others makes us whole," began with a visual of two hands: one confident, the other hesitant. I initially translated this into a survival hiking game focused on trading items with NPCs, inspired by "One Red Paperclip" and the inventory mechanics of "80 Days." I wanted the grid-based backpack to represent the player's identity—"items define the self."
However, during prototyping, I found that a pure trading mechanic encouraged players to maximize profit, which contradicted the emotional theme of connection. To resolve this, I pivoted from transaction to narrative. The story now follows an Otaku protagonist searching for a missing pen pal. Instead of trading for profit, players use items to resolve encounters (inspired by "Dispatch") and write letters at stations to process their journey. The final game is a suspenseful story of self-discovery, where inventory management is not just about survival, but about choosing how to interact with the world.
