Use of the limitation
The player may only shoot one "shot" (aka arrow in the game) at a time. Once shot, they need to go and pick up the arrow in order to shoot it again

Cookies eaten
I ate A LOT of sweet stuff during this jam, though I lost count. Speaking of... I should check my blood sugar soon...

Very good game ! It reminded me of the game Titan Souls where there also was a mechanic to recall your arrow when it was on the ground, it helps quite a lotwhen it is stuck in a pack of enemmies x3

The game is very nice to look at and listen to, it was plasing to move around the game

I think that having invulnerable frames when getting hit would be less frustrating because even at max health I got stuck on a tree (I dodged in the wrong direction x3) and got one shot by the ennemies (maybe it was to to be linked with the limitation :0 )

It's nice that the feathers serve an other utility that the upgrades because i got them quite fast and so I had no more use of the feathers rathen that heal, it's on you to tell if you prefer haing more upgrades tiers or keep it like that ^^

I think I will return to it because I want to find what is the other way of ending the game ^^ I liked a loot the description you made for the itch page !

Good job !

First of all, thank you so, so much for your thorough feedback. It is extremely appreciated!

I was also thinking about doing some invincibility shenanigans, but was not able to do it in time. But I will probably tackle that in the future. I also really like the idea of recalling the arrow, though this would need some big balancing, like a cooldown or so. But a really cool idea!

Regarding the "other way" of ending the game. It is more like a gimmick than an actual way to play the game. If you win the game once, you will get a hint at what the hidden feature is. Please don't expect too much, though! I will definitely tweak this feature in the future, plus add more variety to it. I won't go into too much detail, not to spill the secret ^^

So yeah, thanks so much for the helpful criticism and the nice feedback. It is highly appreciated ^^

Oh nice! I actually did something similar for the jam. It may be just a demo, but a really well-made and polished demo. I really like the main menu effects too, just wow.

Thank you so much! I also saw quite the similarities when I played your game haha. Glad you like it though! ^^

This concept is super cool and creative!! It's cool to line up the enemies to shoot them up.

Thanks for your comment. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the game and like the overall concept ^^

I agree that the hotboxes are too large  and that this makes escaping somethings too frustrating. It took me a while to remember the sprint and dash. After that it got a little bit easier. But having to pass the monsters everytime to get the arrow back is a really hard challenge. But that's what it is all about and the implementation was nicely done.

Developer

Thanks for your criticism and feedback! I am happy to hear that you like the implementation. I uploaded a small hotfix that tackles the hitboxes, so I hope those feel a bit better now :)

I also totally agree that the waves are quite challenging right now. Sadly, I ran out of time when it came to balancing. But if someone is really eager, it might even be the right challenge for them ^^

Really fun game and concept! Though I think some of the hitboxes need some tweaking and an indicator for the edge of the map would be nice. Overally nice job though!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I made a little update to the game, where those exact issues are addressed. I am happy you like it :)
