Dysphoria (Alpha) – A slow-burn psychological analog horror experience

Hi everyone

I’m Ángel, a 16-year-old indie developer working with two friends on Dysphoria, a psychological analog horror game focused on atmosphere, discomfort, and slow tension rather than cheap jumpscares.

Dysphoria is set in an isolated town where reality slowly breaks down. The game plays with VHS aesthetics, environmental storytelling, and subtle narrative details that make you question what is real and what isn’t.

This is an alpha version, but it already represents the core vision of the project:

  • Heavy analog / VHS atmosphere
  • Psychological horror and unease
  • Minimal hand-holding, focus on exploration
  • Story told through environments and fragments

We’re mainly looking for feedback:
Does the atmosphere work?
Does the tension feel effective?
Does it leave you uneasy?

Sounds good, but please add a screenshot or video to your post like the rules say.
