Actually insane the amount of polish and fun you were able to make in such a short time!! I could see myself playing a game like this normally lol
Super cool game! The weather was amazing and it was just such a cozy woodchopping game for the most part. great job!
I love it so much!! The physics are the best and worst part.
I like this game a lot! Sure the physics were a little janky sometimes but personally I think that adds to the charm. I love the weather effects as well. Great job!
Very nice, cozy wood chopping sim. I really like the weather and lighting effects. Good music too.
I love this game! The gameplay is pretty fun although the throwing mechanic is a bit hard to control. The sprite work is really good, kinda reminds me of terraria. I'm not sure it is intended or not but I like how I can just parkour on the trees to explore the area ahead instead :) If you want to expand on this game definitely try to keep this mechanic in. Overall, this is an amazing game!
I have to say it feels surprisingly polished for a game jam. As other stated, the physics got a little weird at times but it was also pretty neat! I could definitely see it being expanded upon
Really fun!
very impressed by the quality of the game :o
Very cool cozy game! The music fits really well, and the day–night cycle is also really cool. Cutting down trees feels very satisfying. Occasionally the throwing mechanic is a bit clunky, but it didn’t hurt the fun at all. I’d honestly be really interested to know how you managed to cut the sprites exactly at that spot! Such an awesome mechanic!
thanks so much :) i use Godot 4.5 and i found this github project i love (https://github.com/SoloByte/godot-polygon2d-fracture) that i have modified to fit my use case. it allows use to destroy polygons using other polygons. that allows you to create guns, bombs, laser, and axe chopping to cut polygons. In this case all the polygons are sprites of trees created from a kenneyNL tilemap :)
Thanks for the reply! I’ll definitely check it out! :)
Physics feels pretty janky, especially when picking up logs, but other than that it feels really polished overall! Art is pretty, the trees remind me of Terraria
Nice game! the physics is a bit jank and had some issues with floating trees but the game has good polish.
