short and sweet game with excellent sprite work for all the different time periods. Ending screen made me laugh out loud.

The sprite work was beautiful, the era change was so cool! I actually did beat it super early by trying to dodge the bullets from the second era, but I came back to it after just seeing all the eras and felt like I try harded too much xD Honestly, really pretty and nice music as well, graphically may be one of my favorites for the theme!
Very short game, but what you do have feels really good and polished. Nicely done!
Saved my babe AND got a good smoochie at the end :) I love it! This game was hard but not unfair, and also the pixel art is fantastic! It’s like the equivalent of a yummy snack that I want more of!

Like me you suck at designing levels so you spended too much time in making the game feel and look good right, forgetting too make levels. Great Game, greater last picture :)
oof lol, telling it like it is i guess. Fwiw, having only 4 levels was intentional, its not cuz I didnt know how to make more. If the levels themselves are bad then I guess fair but I didnt make more levels cuz the game was supposed to be small plus other factors that made it not really work design-wise

The complete visual style change when collecting the time element, along with the slow-firing weapon in ancient eras, is fantastic. I wish the game were a bit longer.
thanks a lot! I wanted to make it longer but having 4 different time periods worked out for the best. I guess I could make multiple levels for each time period but I wanted to keep it short, but ig that backfired lol.

This is a great and simple game. I like the mechanics and coherence each room has. What I would have probably liked in the game would be some jump buffering because it does sometimes feels like the game is just eating my inputs (or maybe I am just bad at the game). Overall this is pretty solid!
I agree with you haha, I noticed while play testing as well but I didnt really know how to fix it so it was low on my priority of stuff to do. Will definitely keep it in mind, thanks for playing!
Pretty cool game! I like the art a lot. The gameplay was fun although I think you can definitely expand this game more in the jam time frame. The end screen shook me to the core and now I'm traumatized (jk I think it was funny lol)
thanks, and yeah I lowkey agree I had lots of time but keep in mind I had to make 4 different versions of every asset (most of which the player barely sees or pays attention to) which took most of my time. Plus the idea of the mini-jam is to keep it short and sweet, right? I also dont plan on updating the game after this, it was just a small one-off project
Haha well yeah but making it mini game definitely kinda make it harder to develop the concept of your game right :D I also noticed you put a lot of time in the sprite works (that why I said I liked it a lot) so I believe some people also know you took a lot of time in it :) Don't worry game jams are supposed to be fun and you can do whatever you like :D. A nice simple game with an... interesting ending screen I did feel at parts like I was running into a wall until it broke with how fast the obstacles were but I still won in the end
