Hi everyone!

I’m an indie game developer working on adding localization to my already released games, and I’m looking for volunteer translators to help localize the game into the most popular languages used on Steam.

Languages I’m Looking For

Based on Steam’s most widely used languages, I’m especially interested in:

  • Simplified Chinese

  • Spanish (Spain)

  • German

  • French

  • Russian

  • Brazilian Portuguese

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Italian

(If you speak another language commonly used on Steam, feel free to reach out too!)

About the Game

  • Genre: Adventure/RPG

  • Platform: PC (Steam)

  • Text amount: Approx. 25000 words

  • Tones: narrative-heavy, serious, humorous

What I Can Offer

  • Free game key

  • Credit in the game (and store page if desired)

  • Experience localizing a real, shipped indie game

  • Build your portfolio

How Localization Will Work

  • Strings will be provided in an easy format (Google Sheet)

  • I’m happy to answer context questions and provide screenshots

  • Native speakers preferred, but motivated learners are welcome

How to Contact Me

If you’re interested, please comment below or send me an email to talehammergames(at)gmail.com with:

  • Language(s)

  • Native / fluent level

  • Any previous translation or localization experience (optional)

Thanks for reading, and I really appreciate any help or signal boosts! 💙

Hi TaleHammer,

I’m reaching out from Play in Arabic, a team specialized in localizing games into Arabic. We’d love to help you bring your games to Arabic-speaking players!

We’re experienced in handling menus, dialogues, and UI translations, and we make sure the localization fits the tone and style of your games. We can do this for free, respecting your rights and workflow.

Before we start, we’d love to know a bit more about your games:

  • Could you give us a brief story overview?
  • What’s the expected release date?
  • Are the games 3D or 2D?
  • Would it be possible to share a screenshot or image of the games?

You can reach me on Discord: hodaifa_ Or by email: 0hodaifa1919@gmail.com

Looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully collaborating to bring your games to the Arabic audience!

Best regards, Play in Arabic

Hi there,

I’m interested in helping translate your game.I’m a native Japanese speaker and grew up studying in an English-speaking environment, so I’m comfortable working in both Japanese and English. I don’t have formal professional translation experience yet, but I’ve translated novels for friends both from English to Japanese and Japanese to English, which helped me get used to handling tone and natural phrasing.

I’m currently looking to gain more hands-on translation experience, and I’d love to help bring your game to a Japanese audience while staying true to its atmosphere and style.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, feel free to reach out. Thanks for your time!
