Great game! The movement of the prey fishes were really well made and smooth. It was surprising and cool when I found out about the squid ink effect. I would really be interested to see the gameplay being developed further
Pros:
Assembling the figure was super easy thanks to the pre-cut parts. I also liked the symmetry feature. Overall, an interesting "Spore" successor someday? The other fish have escaped. Very nice.
Cons:
I didn't like the water effect background. Too much movement for my eyes.
Overall, really good.

I was able to launch the game! And I don't regret it. It's a very relaxing game, I lost track of time. It will be interesting to see how it develops in the next round.
I mixed up the games in my head for a second and forgot what I was answering...
Well, the obvious solution would be to continue remaking Spore? But we're against obvious answers. Where would I go from here? I'd probably move towards the vampire survivor genre, but also towards adapting to the environment and so on. Almost everything you need is already there, you just need to add bonuses for reaching a new level and strengthening the "enemies" and the biosphere over time
Unfortunately, no browser allows me to play the game.
It's strange, it seems like I'm the only one having problems.
Such a relaxing game, I love the atmosphere together with the dozens of different AI behaviors!
I could definetly see it if the different body parts changed different things, for example the placements of the eyes could influence where the player can spot other fish, or adding a tail for extra agility.
Very awesome, I definetly want to see more of this, although please change the background, as that gave me a bit of a headache
Cell is a really apt name, and dang, that's a LOT of creatures you designed. They're all really unique and have interesting co-op behaviors, reminds of the polish in animal well!
The art, music, and vibes are great. The customizer is intuitive and gives the user plenty of creative freedom. My only criticisms come from the game part, where there isn't a clear win/loss condition, and the levels don't seem to do anything, but that isn't part of the task, so good job!
The game is amazing, the concept and gameplay are really cool and feel polished. The background does cause a bit of discomfort at times, since its movement isn’t always consistent and the loop doesn’t quite work smoothly. Still, I never expected such a creative gameplay integration with the theme it’s impressive, amazing work!
This game is good fun, im really interested how you decide to develop this further. Great Job. I would have loved to put customizations on the other custom parts, to make something really big, but this is only a minor detail :)
This is like Spore and I loved it!! Reminds me of being a kid and having way too much fun making my weird little guys. Great job!

You shall be his people, and he shall be your god.
For real though, this is such a strong entry. I love the customizer, I love the art, I love the way everything swims. From what I've seen this is the most complete game I've seen. You have roughly 42, 504 combinations (though they are technically infinite).
Since you treated me so kindly, I return the favor by saying this. I really really wish that the placement was more consistent. I don't know what causes it, and I really tried to look from an outside perspective, but sometimes I can place items, and other times I can't. I also wish that placement could happen on more than just the starting body. I think it's probably for collision purposes, but at least being able to scale the starting body would add a lot of options.
I also would like to see a few more generic parts. It looks like the ones you have here are kinda meant for a specific creature. Maybe it's a scope limitation, but having some more utilitarian parts even like simple squares and triangles and such could go a long way here. In a similar point, having the mirroring be a toggle would make this feel like a perfect customizer.
All around, I cannot believe that this only took you two weeks. This is an incredibly impressive project
Thank you so much man! <3
I'm happy for your feedback and I totally agree with its flaws.
At its current stage you can only place parts on the original body since I didn't have time to implement a working collider system.
The part you're feeling is prob that the items doesn't have a perfect collision system. Their hitboxes didn't really align with the sprite.
Also I made some stupid decisions when making this, for some weird reason, I designed it so the editor and the playable character are in different scenes and different objects :P
The problem with that, is that I had to get every parts location, mirror pos, rotation, scale, sprite etc -> save it to a database -> Try to replicate it on a new scene with the information on the database. And I have no idea why I did this.
So that's why I had to limit the editor a bit, since it took so long to add something new and I had to integrate it into the database reference system.
Thank you for taking time to comment! I'm wondering if I should just recreate the game again but with only one scene and just skip all the complicated stuff, but I'm not sure if I will have enough content to continue in round 2.
/Your lil guy looks awesome btw! :D
I can definitely see how refactoring that in depth was not possible this round. I also definitely didn't make that exact same mistake in my game, and waste 3 days fixing it. With the amount of art you needed, I agree with your choice. This is better than a fully functional editor with placholder art.
The character customizations were fun and so was the game! Very well done!
Couldn't believe someone made spore in 2 weeks!
Thank you for a great game! Was fun to play live and thanks for joining the stream!
@34:52
Great game altogether!
Really enjoyed the entry. The ai felt real--extremely smooth system, I loved how the smaller fishes tend to move in packs. It created a challenging and enjoyable experience. One other small thing I liked was the background(and the art in general), creating a great theme for the game.
The customization system was a bit confusing at first with the symmetrical system; however, it was pretty well made in general and I quickly got the hang of it.
Great job:)
