Cool gameplay, very well implemented, it's quite pleasant to move and grap. The situation is absurdly funny. Nice music and graphics

Great job with this, very thematic and fun to try to get a faster time. My favorite part is the very first level for that same purpose. I really like the visuals too, everything is very easily legible, and palette switching is always an awesome touch. Awesome work with this :)

Really fun and challenging! Love the palette options too!

This game is awesome! As a person who loves games with grapple mechanics this definitely satisfied that itch. The levels are really enjoyable and the scale in difficulty feels very natural. The jump mechanic implementation for going back up too is honestly such a delight, especially with the way it works with the grapple momentum. Very good game, definitely something I would play in my own time.

Super fun! The physics are really clean and the level design is great. Amazing how you managed to make the levels novel both on the downward and upward trip. The upwards fling was a bit spotty as to whether it fired or not for me at times, but didn't hurt my enjoyment too much. Gameplay was super addicting. Got REALLY frustrated at times when I was struggling with a specific part, but that motivated me to keep going at it. Only ended up passing level 3 in the end, but still really enjoyed my time with it. Great game!

Wow thank you so much! I'm releasing an updated version that fixes that launch issue, and adds in some easier levels  that work with the momentum a little better as well if you wanna check it out. It'll be up right when the jam ends tomorrow at 12:30. So glad you enjoyed it!

The physics is super fun to play with. It's a very fun game. The concept works well, and it's very addicting. Well done !

I actually love this game! The physics are awesome, all the color palettes you chose are really cool and the game is just straight up fun. Nice job!!

Awesome physics game. Loved that you had an in-game tutorial as I progressed along the stage, and it eased me into it. I was zipping around in no time, a little too zealously at times. Which I should say now, I liked the death animation a lot lol. Good job on the level design and making it fun to navigate going both aways, down and up. The bonus jump mechanic was awesome. Dig the art as well, and bonus for the palette swap!

I really, really like this game but I think you messed up the controls. First of all, why punish the player for going too fast by killing them upon impact on both walls and ground? Wasn't the point to go fast? Killing upon wall impact was even sadder because it made wall jumping and sliding even worse, wall jump mechanics required you to push against the wall, which means the moment you jump you're pressing the wrong direction button and very quickly nullify your wall jump, so you have to let go almost instantly. However letting go too fast could cause you to let go before pressing the jump button, which causes you not to jump because you have to be pressing against the wall to jump. Wall sliding also barely slowed your descent, so there was very little reason to do so. Talking about jump, why jump with up? Why not let us jump out of the rope too, it would have opened so many cool lines... Also, the launch up function, I guess letting go of the rope wouldn't launch you because there was no other way to cancel the launch (could have cancelled with jump...) but it felt so unintuitive, you have to let go of the rope to get launched, especially because you need to rope into different point. Lastly, the aim detection was super off, I was literally clicking on the rock and it would rope the wrong one.

Don't mistake my criticisms for disliking it, I was so close to giving you 5 stars on gameplay, lmao. I really like the concept, I just think the controls were a let down. I love this style of game, smooth movement and controls are a must. But yeah, I really loved this game and I wished it controlled better. Overall, nice addition to the jam, thanks for making it!

wow thank you so much for the feedback. There were a ton of design choices made with the time constraint in mind, that I wish I could go back in time and change, but I’m glad you liked it nonetheless.

A very good game! The core mechanic is quite interesting, forcing you to learn how to use physics to deliver the character to the target. The graphics and sound are also great. However, I found the controls to be very uncomfortable.

In my opinion, using the UP key for jumping is a major faux pas. I also don’t understand why mouse buttons are used in the controls when there’s no cursor involved.

I believe the optimal control scheme would be something along these lines: remove jump action as unnecessary; hold SPACE to attach to the nearest point; use W and S to adjust the rope length; use A and D to swing while roped; and use SHIFT for a powerful jump while attached. With such a setup, the controls would become much simpler and more intuitive, in my view.

Really great idea and execution. The physics based gameplay and death animations etc. make it really satisfying to play.

Also the fact that you "rescue" people by slamming them into the walls constantly is hilarious :) .

Thank you!! If u listen closely u can hear groans from the bag guy when he hits things.

I loved it!! Though I have to say it's really hard until you get a grip on the mechanics. Mainly going back up. Very challenging, and unique which is something I value a lot since game jams tend to be plagued by the same puzzle platformers over and over... graphics are sweet, feels the right amount of rage inducing that keeps you trying again and again, overall a great entry for the jam!

Wow thank you so much! I loved your incremental game, just finished it. Would love to team up for another jam sometime if you are interested!

incredibly funny to fly into walls at mach ten and die horribly, thank you for giving me a laugh

Could play this all day. But it is beddy byes time.

How can something this polished be original? It's new to me. The ascent is still challenging.
