Cool game. Its got that feeling of simplicity and a classic feel to it. Although enemies are a bit buggy due to having no indication where enemies will spawn and they glitch out when there directly above and below you. You can try out my Gameboy themed submission if you like to.

Cool Atari game! Would be great to be able to mantain a weapon or chose it but I like the different weapons behaviour!

Nice game! You captured the old school feel quite well. I didn't know the yellow bar was reloading and thought all I had to do was survive haha.

Some nice upgrades, I don't know if it was a bug or an intentional bug, but diagonal movement being faster definitely helped with movement against those fast enemies! The music definitely had the Atari vibe to it as well. Chests are maybe a bit too much of a gamble on weapon change. Aside of that, good job!

A few improvements i'd like to suggest:

- Give the player a choice whether to change the weapon for a new one or not. Picking up chests is complete gambling and often you end up with a weapon worse than you had previously.

- Maybe add a few chords into the music (I recommend looking up some basic music theory)

- Give the player a choice which upgrades to make

Thanks for the suggestions! I’ll dive a bit deeper into the music part — this was my first musical creation, so I don’t have much experience in that area yet. In the future, I’m also thinking about making the upgrade system similar to Vampire Survivors’. I ended up doing it this way to save time during the jam

Really good use of the theme making an atari styled game.

Thanks, man! I’m really happy you liked the game’s style. I’ll check out your game later too
