Loved the 3d models and the firing weapon sfx. Sadly the lack of either an uber shader or massive amount of on ready compilations for spawning items is causing massive lag spikes. Wish there were more animations for the enemies and more sfx for hitting things. Having a ending to a level would help too.

it was a cute game! tho my pc was hanging a bit while playing it. also i couldnt figure out how to switch weapons. But i loved the art
Nice submission! The character models are so adorable! I appreciate the way the music changed when the enemy noticed the player. I wasn't able to get the ranged weapon to work, but I was able to use the melee weapon.
This game's character models are so adorable!! I love the idea of a rat using scraps and junk to make weapons to fight other rats.
I was terrible at the combat though. I loved that I could jump to avoid bullets. Maybe I just wasn't doing it right? I had a hard time figuring out how to use the ranged stuff - i would left click and a wad of paper would just drop / not go very far?? I was probably doing it wrong.
Still, very cute game and I liked this take on the theme!
I like the character choice and setting. The movement was good, and the moon jump was fun. I did find combat a bit unclear. I was never sure of the range of the weapons. Targeting the ranged attack was also unclear, especially for the flying enemies. It was a surprise when my equipped crafted melee weapon broke after a single use.
I initially did not think to attack the trash piles and was wondering how to get the missing items to craft things. They looked like they were things to hide behind and jump on, though enemies seemed to shoot right through them. Eventually I realized there was nothing else and I should try them.
My first or second enemy defeated was near an edge and most of the items went over. On level 3 I defeated one of the flying enemies near an edge, and about half the items stayed floating above me.
It was interesting using shift for the crafting. I'm used to shift being sprint, and sometimes pressed it for sprint out of habit. It did work, and with some items being single use, having a quick crafting menu makes sense.
Overall, a nice jam submission.
Great visuals, models, animations
I would love to have better fight mechanic but movement feels right.
Congratulations on your submission!
Really nice use of the Repurpose theme for this game! The 3D models are really good, the controls and mechanics feel nice, and the crafting menu is intuitive and fast to use. The only thing a bit confusing is that there is no shooting feedback with a projectile and some lag spikes in the browser, but loved the game :)
I think I am confused what to do to. I was attacked, but couldn’t attack back. I picked something up, but that didn’t seem to allow me to attack. I couldn’t figure out a crafting station or how to craft. I recommend a tutorial for future games to help people onboard. The models looked fun to control.
One other note for 3d games where you move the camera around I would recommend including a full screen button on the itch page. You can enable that now even with the voting period still in progress.
Thanks! I updated the page to go into fullscreen. Also yeah I wanted to do a tutorial but I had ended up having to rush everything and just threw some controls in the ui lol. Crafting can be done anywhere by holding shift and using the radial menu and melee is right click and left click is throw/fire a ranged weapon.
It felt like an FPS with crafting. Well done. I liked the music, and the gameplay was solid. The enemies did a lot of damage, but were easy enough to dodge one-one-one. When they wandered into range of others, they got touch to dodge.
The game itself was very laggy. This happened whenever I activated something. This could be not caching particles, not using preload() on resources like sounds or graphics and instead using load(). Once I had died, things got better. I got tired of having to start over when I died though. It would have been nice to have a full screen option.
Really well done for a game jam. Impressive amount of stuff accomplished!
I really like the rat model, it looks cute. It'd fit an action-adventure type of game. I like the crafting system. After reloading, it didn't lag for me anymore (likely cache?). After crafting arrows and crossbow I couldn't shoot it. Not sure why, should I have pressed some button to load them...? I loved the music! A smoother transition between the 2 tracks would be nice. Also, after some time the music just stops playing, is it set to loop?
Great job on the game!
Really great art!! Loved the idea, but I think I didn't quite fully understand what I was doing. I did some stuff and then the game ended!
