Super strong concept and great execution! I frequently got the climber glitched or stuck but considering it's a jam the pathfinding was still quite impressive. It was fun to build a really tall tower and fly straight to the finish line. Great game!

Very nice game with a cool concept and cool art. The rigid body focused mechanics were cool as well. I did find the levels to be a bit repetitive and could be solved the same way until the "they no longer are knocked out by a table falling on their head level". Overall great game :D

I like it a lot, a great idea coupled with really good graphics. You built an interesting world that shows potential to be expanded upon.

I noticed a couple of bugs: when you go to the controls options through the pause menu and go back to the game, the UI showing you objects you can place disappears. Also, in that same menu, I changed the place part action to Space and skip typing to E and could no longer place objects (using Space or left click or any key).

Great submission!

Thanks for your comments and so sorry you ran into bugs!

I tried remapping place object to [SPACE] and was still able to place objects by positioning with the mouse and pressing [SPACE]. Is it possible you also mapped something else to [SPACE] after that? That could have caused [SPACE] to be removed as the input for place object. Which browser are you using? I’ll try to recreate the issue with it, in case it matters.

Unfortunately the items disappearing bug wasn’t discovered before the deadline. You can restart the level from the pause menu to workaround that issue, but it’s not ideal.

So I tested it, going back to the defaults controls then redid my mappings. At first, it had no effect. Then resetting them again and redoing them, space was not working. And for my third try, I just changed the place parts setting from Space to … Space and it worked. It feels like it’s random when it wants to work and when it does not. I use Firedragon, which is just a Firefox fork that comes with my Linux distribution.

Despite the bugs I still could experience your game just fine, I initially played with the default controls.

Developer(+1)

I will try to test with Firedragon.

Great visual effects and audio feedback! I was able to clearly tell what was going on! All thanks to your game design with a small color palette you not only made a beautiful game but also made it completely clear what is going on. Excellent job! Really appreciated the menu having all the settings I needed at the ready.

This game has the perfect balance of graphics, sound design, visual effects feedback, and great atmosphere and music. You can really feel the tension to help the climber in that dangerous world. 10/10, amazing and really inspiring! :)

This was a really good game. Simple yet complex puzzle game. I really liked how you used RigidBody2D nodes. The music was driving but great. The story was funny, but not too long and expositional. The gameplay was really creative. this is a great example of how a game can be really simple and still be fun.

I ended up giving up after the buffer zone change. It was a LOT in that level. I also would've liked a full screen option. The screen size was kinda weird too.

Overall, really great entry. Best all around I've seen so far.

Thanks for playing and the detailed feedback! Really glad you enjoyed it. And yeah, I made level 6 too difficult.

Itch’s fullscreen option should be there. Look in the bottom right corner for the image.png Or perhaps you mean how the aspect is constrained? It’s too much of an advantage if you have an ultrawide (as I do) and can see 3x the distance out. However, if you have a portrait-tilted monitor, you will benefit from the extra height if you go fullscreen. That’s a modest help if you manage to build very high.

It looks really great, and the gameplay is super easy to understand.

Wow, great visuals! I'm impressed how polished this is! The atmosphere is excellent, and the sound design really adds to it.

The art style, mechanics, and theme integration are all amazing. I predict this is going to be game jam winner, mark my words! Awesome submission

Juicy UI design and cohesive play! If you develop it more it would be cool to see powerups or an option to increase gamespeed while the climber is walking

Visuals are stunning! Love the concept and it plays really well. I got stuck just once but it was great to see my dropped items have an impact on the climber and enemy pathing!

Amazing visuals and smooth gameplay!

This is so much fun, and challenging and clever. I love the little touches, and the difficulty ramp up. The story is fun and the world building. I have no notes. My favorite so far!

The art style is amazing, love the parallax layered background and it's amazing how small the character is in terms of pixels but how well you showed the movements. It's really satisfying once the climber gets high and quickly flies till the end. The dialogues are a bit too long and with that font it quickly gets tiring to read but I love that you put the thought behind the story and showed it through the interaction. The game gives me the Papers Please vibe and I like it! Great job!

Amazing game! And there are many very well thought usability details, I'm taking notes hahaha

I love the atmosphere of this, including the audio design and ESPECIALLY the art.

This is an absolutely amazing game. Really fun to play, and I love the art / game play, atmosphere, and how it felt to play!!

Really great job on this, its so polished and the little details (like the voices over the comms, and the large robot moving around in the background) make this world so interesting and unique and definitely add so much. Amazing entry, one of my favorites!
