GameMaker, Powerpoint for the art, Bosca Ceoil for the music

Use of the limitation
I incorporated it by having powerups that when collected would often cause more of a hinderance than an advantage, as they were ridiculously overpowered.

Very nice concept!! The game has a really good level of polish, and the idea is creative.

However, I wish the mechanics were more deeply connected to the gameplay itself. For example, a beginner might think, 'I don't want to take that; it will make me lose.' But a player with a deeper understanding of the game should be able to find a way to use it to their advantage.

Or maybe that's just my thoughts! 😅

Anyway, the art is great, and you have done a very good job!!

Cool concept! I can tell you have an eye for detail tool. It felt pretty polished! Great game! Also crazy to use PowerPoint for art but I love it.

I enjoyed the different power ups.  Duplication was awesome.  The heavy/slow ball was super frustrating!  Nice job.

Powerpoint for the art! Wow nice. All in all it felt like a mini golf game should, and works best when the annoying power-ups are used as part of the strategy. I think having them be a built in, rather than collected might help make the player not avoid picking them up? Then again, it was a satisfying puzzle when I realized how to beat the third level (I think?) by running into each powerup in a way that resulted in the white ball being placed in a perfect spot to continue. Figuring out how to deal with challenging powerups can be interesting, but the interruptions to the gameplay every time a pickup happens slows things down in a way that makes it a bit frustrating. Nice job though!

The idea of an adversarial mini golf game is a lot of fun and subverts some of the expectations around the traditional browser golf game. Having power-ups to avoid or have to cope with is playful and pretty funny - a lot of the time I was like, oh damn, I don't actually want that! It fits the theme of the jam well without a generic "this game has good power-ups" design. The tradeoff is that a lot of the time, the player will just want to avoid getting them, so I think the more effective levels were designed in a way where players had to consider the risk of taking an unwanted powerup or going around the long way. Great work and a lot of fun!

This was a great game and idea! I like that the powerups are potentially "overpowered" to the point of making things more difficult (low friction ball!).

This would be great to keep going with and expanding! Amazing work.

I wanted to avoid that slippery powerup! It made it more difficult. Loved the mobile aesthetic.
