This game, it's a whole vibe. Congratulations, My settlers are dead, but I'm in awe.

Got lost in to the world and its troubles. Very immersive, I enjoyed playing the game very much.

Thanks for the entry.

Loved the artstyle, really brings out the world has ended vibes that all good post apocalypse media should have. At one point I made the decision to doom some children so I don't know how much of a sustainable leadership style I have despite reaching the end but I'm counting it as a success.

Man I just love the atmosphere you got going here. The world building, art, and background guitar track do such a great job of putting me in the shoes of the "mayor". I think the dialogue sound is from GDQuest lol, it works but I don't think it adds much since it makes this gritty world feel like animal crossing when the dog slides in like K. K. Scrappin'. I'm very impressed with the level of detail in your art and I'm looking forward to seeing what you put out next! Followed!

Absolutely amazing work!! The tough choices you're forced to make really put you in the right mindset for the story, and the stark consequences keep you taking each one seriously. The gorgeous hand-drawn style sells the aesthetic even more! A genuinely well-written conclusion is one of the hardest things to pull off in a short time but you made it look effortless. It's a bite-sized story but totally deserves all the love!

Definitely one of my favorites this jam, massive kudos on everything! :D

Things I liked:

  • Loved the chalk effect U.I.
  • Nice choice with voice audio.
  • I was invested in my choices and the characters that confronted me
  • Dog
  • Great music

Critiques:

  • Really needed volume sliders

Short but nice atmospheric game with a simple story I enjoyed. Keep up the great work :)

Very nice atmosphere. Well - if you can use "nice" for a post-apocalyptic survival game. The drawn assets looks great. The music fits well and the background voices are that nice little detail that does so much for the whole scene (btw - did I correctly hear czech in that background voices?).

The only thing that was little annoying to me is that dialogue sound. But I am sure this is subjective thing and as I was able to skip it with a click, it was fine.

The survival mechanic of resource management is nothing new, but works well. The dialogues were good written.

I liked it.

I enjoyed playing this game a lot! Absolutely love the art! This game has a lot of character to it. The narrative and the dialogues were well thought out. Really liked the encounters (made me think of Frostpunk).

I also appreciated the game allowing me to skip the text animation (even though I loved it), and the fact that there was a nice summary of how I did at the end woven into the narrative dialogues.

Beautiful submission! Great work and congrats!

I enjoyed playing through this. It worked well. The gameplay was simple and easy to understand. There was some randomness to it, but it was largely logic and calculating what was best for the greater good. I really like that you put the notice at the start about how players can't save everyone. It helps to put the player in the right mindset, and let those who can't handle losing anyone decide if they are up for playing it. The story and gameplay worked well together and fit a post-apocalyptic setting. There was a bit of a disconnect in being post-apocalyptic survival, but also fairly causal gameplay.

I was able to get through the 6 weeks. It would be nice if you added some stats to the end screen. At least the final totals, but possibly a graph showing the totals over time. I restarted it to verify some things, and noticed that the options are the same on a second playthrough. Adding some variety would be nice for replayability, though I acknowledge that balancing such to ensure the player can always win is much harder with random events.

Nice little game. Great art, very fitting music. I like how the music seamlessly resolves at the end of the game.

Great submission, and the art is amazing! Nice work!

The dog ended my first run on the second encounter with him cuz i only had 1 scrap left hahaha. The art is popping, good job!

Really pretty art! You set a high standard to keep everything consistent. I would have liked some sliders to split out the talking audio from the background music as that part got a little annoying after a while. Really interesting story. It makes me sad you can’t save everyone but also that is the world.

Art for the game is incredible, really well done.

Narrative is well design, I was amazed how game that is pretty static is so interesting. You just want to checkout what will be tomorrow, great design! I did to the end and survived with few ppl.

Congratulations on your submission!

Art is really awesome on this game really enjoyed it! Nice work!

Wow! The art! Even the godot logo is hand-drawn! Only thing is that it made an illusion to me that the ui on the bottom (brown one) was the same color as the website's background, which i struggled to find out that was a part of the game! But soon i figured it out and theres no problem with it. Great atmosphere , art , story, scene transitions. Great work!
