Looking forward to its complete state. I love the particles effect each time you pick an item. And also there are a lot of parameters that affect combat as well.
Cool project. Could actually go somewhere if the missing features are implemented.
I ran out of space very soon. Either the items need reduced durability or there should be a possibility to drop them or do something useful with them (like transforming three of the kind to upgraded version).
Neat take on an idle/vampire survivors style thing, thought this idea had a lot of promise!
The idea of the game is pretty nice. I've stumbled open a similar game a few days ago, but I liked the visuals of yours much more. Also it feels satisfying to play! As you said, it is not finished, but it's a really great start! I'd love to see more.
Also congratulations for your first submission! 🔥
Interesting idea. Instead of a cookie clicker it's a cookie drag-and-dropper.
Every comment I had was on your game page as things you didn't get to.
Nice start, just unfinished.
I like your mechanic idea of dropping item to find the good mix, pretty unique.
Visuals are nice!
Congratulations on your first submission! Waiting for more!
Neat idea, it's like a standing version of vamp survivor.
It's a good concept, shame you didn't have time to flesh it out more, I think versatile items depending slots is pretty cool.
Looks like a very good start. The idea itself is very good, and if you revise the UI a little to make it clearer and also add music, it could be a very cool game :)
The ground makes it look a bit 3d, I like that. The first few attacks I didn't realize the character attacks on their own, because I clicked on the mobs each time haha
Great, i'm happy you noticed this detail
This seems like a decent start. I was a bit lost at first as I've not played many games like this and wasn't sure what to do. I was trying to make the character move with mouse, arrows, and WASD. It would be good if you updated the game page with a brief description of how the game is played. If I had not played any games like before I'm not sure I would have picked it up before getting annoyed and moving on.
I know it is not done, and there is plenty more you had planned, but I'd say that a way to remove items from your inventory to replace them with better would be the first thing to do. I had no idea what anything was to start, so collected everything. Then I had an inventory full of things I didn't want, and useful stuff sitting out waiting to be collected. After that I'd like to know what an item would do in a slot before placing it there. Even if it was picking the item up and hovering it over the slot to see, as long as you could see even when the slot has an item.
Once I got a feel for it I was able to start moving items around and find some useful ones. There were plenty more interesting items waiting on the ground for an open slot. Then the swarm came.
Thanks for the comment. I've added controls to the project description.
Yes, the ability to exchange unused items for metaprogress currency is one of the features I didn't have time to implement.
Items in the storage were supposed to show a tooltip displaying the item's unlocked abilities, but I didn't have time to implement that either.
There were also planned to be significantly more than eight items, but I spent a lot of time implementing the inventory, as this was my first time doing it. Overall, I realized I chose a project with too broad a scope for the time I had.
In any case, thank you for your feedback and interest. It was helpful to see that a player shared my point of view.
At first I wasn't able to play but after reading the other submissions on zooming out I can tell there a good amount of potential here! Wish you had more time to implement some more features! You did well on graphics!
Thanks, graphics are not mine, I got all the graphics from Itch and OpenGameArt. I cant draw anything deecent, so I stoped bothering myself with this type of tasks and just select from avallible free assets.
the repurposing of the same item in different slots is so fun and charming. i like that items have a certain durability so you have to keep finding replacements. the sprites are excellent!!! overall really enjoyed it :)
Thanks, all sprites are from itch and OpenGameArt, I added attributions to artist in the description, so everyone can discover those talented creators.
Good tip about zooming it, I only understood the game after reading Nanbanya's comment. Really nice idea for a game, it's pretty fun
At first i didn’t understand because the ui was in the middle of my screen blocking the view and the mouse click to get item loot. After zooming out i found out that the game is actually pretty fun. Having 3 use per item leave a lot of combination. a bit hard to remember what each item does on each different slot but that’s a me problem. Sad you didn’t get any sound on time. I would have loved being able to controls the character and having to explore to get more item instead of just killing enemy and wait. But you still did a good job on the ui with the infobull, stats.
Yes, I now understand that choosing a human as a character and not allowing them to move could be misleading, as movement is expected of a human.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention; I've also added controls to the project description.
