Jumping high is way more fun than I expected. Would've been cool to add something saying how high you were

The Core of the game was pretty fun. I would recommend adding motion blur because it induces a bit of motion sickness when you're moving at such high speeds.

Background art and sound effects are great. I really love the gameplay loop too, i would've suggest using another font for texts and focus on ui elements too!

At first it loaded a little bit laggy, but once i started getting arrows and pies, it fixed itself hahaha. I really like the concept, the music and sfx are nice. Only thing i would suggest is implementing stuff such as the coyote time

This was pretty fun. I like how much your jump increases to really give it that sense of being ridiculously overpowered! Great use of music btw, it made the game feel like this dreamy adventure. I do wish the camera was even more zoomed out by default. I felt very blind but still wanting to gather as many power-ups as possible. This becomes easier later in the game, but I personally wanted more visibility sooner. I kept bumping my head! haha. Awesome job on the submission :)

Beautiful pixel-art, maybe make the platforms one way collision, I bumped into them multiple times and fell back down, which killed the flow of the game somewhat. The game idea is very fitting and the rest of the game-design is nicely executed. (54)

Fun little pixel-art game with upbeat music that matches the climb really well. The jump power-ups fit the theme nicely and make it satisfying to soar higher and higher. I liked how the platforms spread out as you ascend, encouraging you to stack upgrades, and the camera zooming out as your jump increases was a great touch. Nice job!

I had fun playing a game about pie and flying past pi and eating 3.14159. Good job!

This is the best I could manage. I had fun with this!

So many pies! I enjoyed the highs of using the jump ability to climb ever higher, and the crushing lows of missing a platform and falling so very far back to the ground. Adding a bunch of time and jump power-ups and random placement of platforms is good. Maybe giving players a little more control as the game progresses could help make their successes and failures feel more predictable, like a parachute that helps players control the speed of their fall? Nice stuff!

Developer(+1)

I agree, the falls can feel unpredictable and unavoidable. I've considered adding a parachute or maybe a wing suit if I continue the game in the future.

Simple concept but great use of the limitation. Those high jumps are very fun

Fun game, I really enjoyed it!

I was shocked to figure out that the level didn't appear to be randomly generated and was persistent, which was surprising considering how large it is. Did you use any special tools to make it?

Developer (1 edit)

The level is procedurally generated, it seems less random because I made the platforms spawn at a higher density at the bottom, decreasing as you go up. The only part not procedurally generated is where you spawn, I wanted the player to be able to learn what each collectable does at the start of the game.

Cool game check out my high score!

This was a superb concept, I like how you used the overpowered limitation to its true meaning, where your jumps become so fast/high that it almost breaks the game.

Nice job!
