I LOVED it! So impressed by the exceptional quality of this game, it's incredible that you managed to make this in just 2 weeks, it's a real credit to how talented the team is! I might be biased because I love narrative games, but I was hooked, the writing and premise was great! I also appreciated the attention to detail in the environment design with all the trinkets, and loved the textures you used for the ceilings and how they were different on each floor. The end scene was absolutely gorgeous, I adored the stained glass look at the top of the tower! The sound design and music were also excellent, the sound of the snow storm outside was very immersive and I loved how the music gradually builds as you move up the tower. The voice actress also did a great job at bringing the character to life, and I'm a big fan of how you incorporated the snow on the lettering on the title page, it's very effective!
I had the same issues that other people have mentioned with the controls for the wizard bust, and the equation puzzle had me stuck for quite a while, but then again, I'm not the best at maths lol. Also, the transitions were great, but a little bit slow to start, so there were a few times where I thought the game might have frozen when it hadn't. I found the camera controls a tad sensitive too, but aside from that, didn't have any issues. Thank you for putting in the extra effort to make a Mac build as well, I really appreciated being able to play your game!
Great job to all the team for your hard work, it definitely paid off!
I finally played this wonderful game, and I love it so much!
Very atmospheric, beautiful, and elaborate. Thank you so much for sharing your work. You really did a great job! This is so beautiful and so well-made...
This was such a comfy, cozy experience. I was pleasantly surprised by how seamlessly everything came together from the art, story, music, sound design, and voice acting. I cannot believe this gorgeous game was created and published in just two weeks. What a talented team! I found myself wishing I could visit this wizard’s tower. The experience felt immersive and made me want to play more after completing it. Congratulations, and I can't wait to play what this team makes next!
Endless thanks for your kind words ❤️
Thanks for taking the time to check us out after the stream, we really appreciate your support!
Yeah, as I expected from the images, this was an extremely high quality experience compared to its short development time. It must have been an extreme challenge to coordinate finishing all of these different pieces, and having them work together, but it seems like you managed it excellently.
I really like the different transitions, especially the cleaning room entering the screen. It really gives the vibe of a room being magically constructed around you to clean the objects in.
Most jam games don't really spend a lot of time on the story and lore, but I like how you leaned into it and made that sort of the focal point of the experience, and I really enjoyed learning about the world you created for this game, and all the little tidbits. My favorite little detail is how the wizard mentions how he messes up the globe. I like how it explains why the puzzle is the way it is, which is something a lot of puzzle games skip out on.
The voice actress did a great job as well and made the main character feel alive, which really helped immerse you in the story.
There were obviously some issues, as there always are, but seems the other comments already got them covered (PEMDAS, the issue with the bust pieces not being clickable, and the rotating the rings not being super clear.)
I look forward to seeing future projects from Noot Noot.
we were fortunate enough to have team members whose sole focus was narrative design, and we were sure to incorporate their work into all aspects of the creation pipeline; our ideation flowed from the narrative team to the art team for concepting and asset creation and finally implementation. This means that we had a lot of stressful overhead from how many times content changed hands from start to finish. We spent many hours in VC, creating spec docs/mockups, and chatting back and forth. For all intents and purposes, we followed standard operating procedure for a production pipeline, with the only difference being the short timeline and the fact that we were able to take a little more liberty with the procedure because a game jam is much lower stakes than an actual production with a budget. It was very challenging at times, but the end product is what matters, and it makes all of that hard work so very worth it to read responses like this. Thanks for your kind words and thorough review, we truly appreciate that you took the time to immerse yourself in Equinox!
Well said 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for your comment! It's nice to hear that folks appreciate the narrative, it was a lot of fun to work with a team who was so open to making a narrative-focused project. Coordinating everything was absolutely a challenge, but it was so wonderful to see it all come together in the end.
Maya did a really wonderful job taking the lines and making them feel alive, we're very grateful to have had her on the project.
Thanks for taking the time to play our little game!
I gave it the second try today (first time I tried I stuck in 1F wizard statue).

And I was initially stuck in 1F wizard statue again , I end up random spamming E and ESC to somehow fix the bug that I couldn't click the statue parts in the screen left part.
And I was able to reaches to the end of the game :)
I think the most captivating aspect of this game is its voice acting and soundtrack , with some small puzzles that is easy to solve.
And the ending sky is breathtaking , it's SO BEAUTIFUL.
The interact part has some problem as others mentioned , but the overall game experience is still great!
Thanks for being willing to give it another shot, I'm sorry to hear that your first attempt didn't work out. I'm glad to hear that you were able to get farther on your second attempt.
We were really lucky to be able to work with Maya, she really did a wonderful job. Same with umarelll on the soundtrack. Glad to hear you enjoyed the experience!
Thank you for giving it a second try! We're really proud of how the ending turned out and I'm glad you were able to see it for yourself 🥰
What a phenomenal game! Everything feels incredibly well polished and had a lot of care placed on making everything feel exactly as intended. Story was fun, voice actress was incredible, the cleaning puzzles were cozy and satisfying. Almost hard to believe you guys did this in two weeks! There were a few sticking points, mostly with me being thrown off on the statue and wheel puzzle with rotation being offered at the top in UI but wasn't relevant until further into the puzzle and also the same issue with the math puzzle with the +x/ sequence not working as expected and not knowing how to proceed even though it was a "correct" answer. Overall, this in my top three games of this jam. Incredible job, can't wait to see what you all make next. :]
Wow, thank you so, so much! That means a lot, we had a great time putting this together and it's very gratifying to see that it's translating for folks. Thanks as well for your notes, they're definitely on our list of things to tweak. The equation puzzle especially has been a sticking point for multiple people, so we plan on leaving a hint to encourage players to use PEMDAS to solve it.
Thanks for taking the time to leave such an encouraging comment, it means a lot. We're excited to keep improving as we go!
Wow, great execution from such a big team! Well done!
Thank you for your kind comment! So glad to hear you liked it.
I love simulation and puzzle games felt like a bit mix of both also loved the art /aesthetics. Really well made game.^^
Thank youuu!! Yeah our art team is pretty great, and mine is absolutely not a biased opinion... 😎
Hello!
Firstly, great job on your game development project! I can tell you guys put good effort into it. Loved the intro scene, felt very professionally made. Music/Ambiance was very on point and the voice acting was such a nice touch. Art felt consistent and I think the style was perfect for this type of game (reminded me of We Were Here games). Interacting with the journal for the story progression was a fantastic and felt very fitting. Good design choice on giving leeway on not having to completely clean an object. The different puzzle variety kept each floor fresh, so it didn't feel very repetitive even with the cleaning.
Bugs/Improvements/Suggestions:
- I did not see an easy way in-game to adjust volume. I feel like this is the one setting that is mandatory for every game. Specifically for your game being FPP, I would say mouse sensitivity is a must as well).
- I think the control buttons telling you your button options should stand out more. I did not realize that I could rotate the object so i was stuck on the first object for a bit until I noticed the control text.
- Re entering objects does not show a key on getting out. I figured out E gets you out, but I think ESC is a more intuitive K&M button to cancel something. Either way would be good to add it, but honestly I think it would be better if re entry was instead locked after the object is completed. In puzzle games this is often the case because it helps player understand they did not miss something.
- I really had an issue with mouse click detection when working with the wizard statue and I was not able to rotate it at all while putting it together. I went in and out of various objects multiple times before it let me put all the pieces together. I was able to complete it eventually by guessing where the piece might go behind the wizard face.
- Puzzles that need cleaning after finishing them (like the globe) should open up into the cleaning screen. (I do a lot of real life puzzle rooms, so my brain has the one puzzle for 1 thing rule). It took me a bit to figure out I was not done with the globe after it game me a completed feedback.
- The repeating voice telling player they can't progress yet might get a bit obnoxious, I would say adding a delay before the trigger being able to be interacted with again might be a good idea.
- Sometimes when cleaning something, there's a visual indication that it's cleaning multiple places at the same time.
- Last puzzle at the top of the tower was really cool! Loved the end spin animation too. Sometimes it was hard to distinguish between correct and incorrect pieces due to the color tone variation. I think having it "lock" into place when you get it right would be good.
Overall great job on the submission again and good luck!
What a thorough analysis, thank you so much!! Both for the compliments and the feedback, we really appreciate it and will treasure them for the future! Some criticism you brought up we already came across, some is new, but all is very useful 💪
And as one of the artists, I'm happy to know you enjoyed the visuals so much! We put a lot of effort into this game and I'm glad it shows -w-
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thorough response! We really appreciate all of your feedback.
I'm glad to hear you connected with the art style, our art team really did a fantastic job. As jun mentioned, some of what you mention is already on our radar but some of your points are new. We'll absolutely keep them in mind as we update things.
I haven't had a chance to try Arctic Angler yet, but I'm excited to give it a shot later today. Thanks again!
Can't express how much I appreciate this thorough of feedback - thank you times a million, it's mad thoughtful of you!
Such a cool game and so nicely made! I struggled way to much with the last puzzle but totally worth it in the end!
Thank you! I'm really glad to hear you enjoyed the experience, thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. We plan on looking at ways of making the final puzzle a little clearer, since multiple people have reported being pretty confused by it.
Aww thank you! The payoff really is worth it though, so I'm glad you stuck it out. We all really appreciate your kind words :)
This is crazy good for a game made in 2 weeks the whole game looks amazing and the puzzles where fun little challenges but not to hard that they get annoying and the storyline was really interesting to follow. Its crazy that a game made for a 2 week game jam can be this good.
You're too kind, thanks for taking the time to play our game! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for the kind words, it is SO nice to hear that <3
It was a real honor working with everyone on this project, so many talented individuals came together and poured their hearts into two weeks of nonstop work. Blood, sweat, and tears doesn't even come close to explaining it lmao. But seeing comments like this is truly encouraging; it feels so rewarding that people are enjoying their time spent in our little world!
thoroughly enjoyed playing through this! had a great time with the puzzles - the equation and symbols matching at the end were a bit trickier than i expected. i was a bit confused on how to actually rotate the symbols but figured it out after trial and error. artwork at the title screen is beautiful, and the story was fun to follow along! i want to know what happened to the wizard! (assuming he ended up time traveling but i was looking forward to getting closure on his story haha) great job to the team! :)
Thank you for this very kind comment! Our artists did an absolutely incredible job. The consensus seems to be that the end puzzle is a little confusing in it's current state, so we plan to look into ways of making it a little clearer. As for the wizard, we wanted to leave a little bit of mystery, but maybe we'll follow up to see where he ended up!
An amazing game. Especially for two weeks. I really liked the art and puzzles. I was a little confused about why you had to clean stuff? Just seemed out of place. I was a bit confused about the maths equation as I made 42 from left to right by doing 9+5x9/3 which does equal 42 unless me and my calculator are wrong. I did get the answer in the end.
Over all good game. Reminded me of the room but less dark and confusing.
Thank you for your extremely kind comment! The cleaning is meant to signify that you're putting the tower back into working order after it was neglected by it's previous occupant, but it's good to know that that doesn't translate super clearly. In terms of the math puzzle, it's high up on our list of things to tweak. It's meant to follow PEMDAS, and we plan on leaving a hint there since currently it isn't very clear.
What an awesome game for a 2 week game jam! Its overall really beautiful and cozy to play. I love the cleaning mini game. I also had problems putting together the statue, some pieces didnt wanted to move properly. I got stuck again at the number thing at the top. Not sure if Im just too stupid for it? I made it so its 42 from left to right, but nothing happened. Am I missing something? XD But its really impressive what you all did here! Good job! <3
The number puzzle could definitely use a hint 😅 it requires following PEMDAS but that’s not very clear when just looking at it. This is great feedback though, so thank you!
I wanted it to work SO MUCH, but it just didn't( Statue on the 1st floor just wouldn't rotate, so I cant' put pieces on it's back and progress to the next floor. Or maybe I just don't understand something? This game is SO PRETTY (and plot is kinda similar to our game it seems, hehe)
Hi there! Thanks for your message, and I'm so sorry to hear that you were having issues. The bust has been giving some players trouble, and it's very high up on our list to address with our next update. If you weren't able to move any of the pieces it often works if you exit by pressing E and then re-renter the cleaning minigame by interacting with the bust again. You aren't meant to rotate the bust when it's broken, so all of the pieces can be put back together from the front. It can take a little bit of rearranging to make it click into place.
I did notice that yours has a very similar premise, and I can't wait to give it a shot!
I will definitely give it another shot, and I will look up for future updates, if it doesn't work!
Yeah, it is still similar, but the funny part is it was even more similar before. We had to cut some content like 3 floors instead of 1 and portals LOL
Ha, that's funny. Great minds think alike!
I hope it works for you the second time, we appreciate you giving it another shot.
It's crazy to see quality like this in jam games, having a voice acted story was not what I was expecting, especially good voice acting too! Very cozy environments with very nice music as well, I especially like how the music changes at the top of the tower! The journal itself is super well written, it's mysterious, funny and charming (all the doodles and notes). The transition to the cleaning minigame is also very impressive, even more impressive is having a cleaning minigame lol, I have no clue how you'd even make one but it works perfectly. I did have two issues with the game, one being able to re-interact with items and getting stuck in the minigame area, I probably could've pressed escape but at the time it was not clear to me so I had to reset. The wizard bust was very unresponsive and I really had to mess about just for the mouse to actually drag the pieces. Aside from that everything is super good! The mood of the game is just really impressive, you've nailed the vibe down! Super impressive work!
An incredibly kind note! 🥲 Thank you SO much for your feedback. We had so much fun creating this little gem for Comfy Jam, and look forward to honing our craft in the future.
Really so glad to hear you enjoyed our work, and very grateful for your words and your interest in our game, as well. 💖🙏 Many, many thanks!
Thank you so much for the detailed feedback, it's very much appreciated!!! You are too kind! <3
We totally agree about the clarity of the minigame - it's on our list of updates to make! For future reference the [E] to interact button will also allow you to leave the interact mode. The control hint text is visible at the top of the screen during the minigames, and we auto-close the cleaning inspector after you complete it, but if you interact with the item once it is complete it can be confusing! Totally valid criticism.
As for the wizard bust feedback, would you mind sharing some details about your platform and machine specs? would love to get some details about which users are having problems with it so we know how to approach the fix.
Thank you again for everything!
No problem! To clarify the minigame UI was indeed completely fine, the hints at the top were very helpful! The only issue was interacting with the item after it's complete.
As for the bust, I'm not very good with computer stuff in the same way if someone asked what kind of cat I have I'd say "orange" so I don't know what specs would help, I'm using windows 11, CPU I believe is "AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-Core Processor ", GPU is "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060" and I have 16 GB of RAM, I'd be happy to give further info if you want.
no this is absolutely perfect!!! youre the best.
Thank you for your kind comments! So glad you enjoyed the voice acting!!☺️
This has such a cozy academia vibe!
Ah, thank you so much for this note! 💖
