Hmm... lot of nice comments here but I couldn't get the game to run! It just shows a grey screen whenever I reload the page and hit the play button

[Edit]

Managed to get it working on Chrome, anyway, I liked the dice machanic, though it seems I kept getting one-shot, particularly by rats? A few times I was on full health, ran into a rat and then instantly restarted

I have to say, the mechanic is not bad. Although maybe a bit too manual. Also it's not so clear what dice belongs to you at first glance. I would appreciate if the rolling starts right as I push the attack button, then something like an animation that tells me really easily the outcome of the dice and who won. It would also help to have something like an overlay when you take damage, a la CoD, so you know you've been hit.

Nice entry! I got very unlucky at the beginning an lost almost every roll lmao. I had fun. I quite like that the rolling also affects objects, not only enemies, and that the weapon has the available numbers. I didn't find other ones, but the implication being a better weapon gives you better odds. Really cool system

I enjoyed playing it. I did a few runs. Made it to floor 4 every time and died kinda unexpectedly. Things I wish for were an automatic rolling option and some indication that my health was getting low. Also, not sure if there's no sound or if I had something wrong on my computer.

Otherwise, I really liked the gameplay, and the art, and the concept is good. Good little jam game.

thanks for all your kind comments and feedback, my apologies if the game bugs for you I certainly wish I gave the balance and debug  time that you all and the game deserves. Thanks for playing. Looking forward to keep listen to your comments and ideas 😊

When was on second floor  skeleton one hit and nothing was accepting inputs, frozen.

I had fun! I like the dice twist. I got to level 4, found the stairs on accident (secret stairs?) and on level 5, I was powered up and kicking butt, but I couldn't find the stairs. Perhaps it's not as completed as it could be, I still had fun. I think this one deserves a little after game jam jam. xD

Very easy to understand and get into, I like the art style! :)

I had some issues with room tiles not spawning, but i really like the base idea

One thing I really respect about the design of this game its its accessibility. Everything plays fast for its concept. Die rolls happen quickly and cleanly, instead of being a dragged-out affair. The dice roll concept is integrated well with it influencing failure and success of hits but more importantly the quantum of attack to make it a little more varied. It also makes it really easy to have progression and upgrades make a tangible impact.

For constructive feedback, there could be some adjustments to the visual presentation to make it consistent; some sprites have a much more detailed design than others, and the backgrounds are simple, which don't clearly identify edges into new areas. I think the cleaner pixel art has a nicer effect than the ones going for a realistic effect. Still nice!

Nice little game. The procedural generation seems pretty good. Camera movements are smooth.

problems i encountered :

  • the buttons at the top keep focus when you click them, this made me accidentally restart a run.
  • i think i have seen some enemies either overlap or attack each other ?
  • i also think one ladder was invisible?? i was sent to the next floor without knowing why.
  • some enemies may appear extremely small.
  • keybinds aren't shown in game, maybe you could put then in the game's description ?

I like how the whole room lights up when entering, and the variety of objects. Nice dice mechanics also. I played 3 times but could not reach level 5. I don’t know if I am missing anything. Good job!

I like the dice mechanic and that the dice can be influenced by the equipment. Roguelikes are often very RNG based, so it makes sense to lean fully into this concept. Sometimes I could not see the enemy, but could attack them.

You've got the basics down—but only just. This feels like a very early build of a cool game.

I see your game is not gonna be called Rogue so this is just a reminder to update the title of the actual game page to not be too close to Rogue 😊
