Dude I loved everything about this game! From the music/SFX, to the weight mechanic. Not to mention the game looks so polished.

If I had to nitpick to find some criticism, I didn't really need to use more than one type of object each level, but that's so minor compared to what I love about the game. Really solid stuff

Warning: Did apply some criminal optimism.
Very neat and solid entry, nothing to point at as a bad choice despite it being a jam game. With some polish on the UI, it holds a lot of promise as part of a portfolio/showcase!

This game was awesome. Tiny, well polished and very historically relevant. I think you could totally continue this into an educational game about putting things in perspective.

Absurd concept that even seems to be poking fun at Mussolini's request. I loved this! Pretty neatly realized and executed. I liked the hand drawn assets and the fact that you gave a summary of the previous attempt which revealed the current weight. I feel this detail could've been easily missed and it's what turned this from a 'randomly throw whatever until you win' to an actual game that was fun to play for a few minutes. Congrats!

Great presentation here and I like the absurd premise.

Found it relatively straightforward to balance the scales once I knew what the goal was.

A simple but elegant game that really gets across the point of how much supplies could be consumed during war time.

This was a really interesting idea. The main thing im taking from this is how heavy the colosseum is. Congrats on finishing.

I'm now imagining Mussolini specifically requesting 3 planes, 4 elephants, and 3 blue whales worth of molybdenum now and forcing a meth-crazed Hitler to do the math on that.

That being said, the amount of material requested to feed Italy's economy as it geared towards war, when reflected in terms of numbers of of giant things like whales, warships, and the eiffel towers, really amplifies the absurdity of what he was was actually demanding.

I genuinely had to look this up because I couldn't believe it at first, and there's some truly absurd fun facts about this list.

Cool concept and scoped really nicely!

Probably that was the whole idea of Mussolini - to make the claims so absurd that they are not practical. Because he was reluctant to join the war.

Definitely... I'm pretty sure the "criminal optimism" thing in the retry popup is referencing how Italy's generals encouraged Mussolini to aggressively exaggerate what was needed to join the war. He probably asked for more than what was even available to the Axis and Allied powers combined at the time.

This art style is super aesthetic and original, dude! The music choice fits perfectly too. The concept is simple, but it’s still really interesting to find out how much the Colosseum or the Eiffel Tower weighs.
