I love the background visuals. The little oil guy is so cute and his animations are great. The music is chill. The controls feel pretty good. I like how much the combos drastically alter movement. It's pretty difficult, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Nice work!

Love the art style of this game — a classic but really well-done platformer. I did die a lot to spikes, but I had so much fun! I also struggled a bit with the upward controls as others have mentioned, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying the game!

Really saucy player controller and the music is pretty fire too! Love the art and aesthetic. I think the spikes should be slightly more forgiving with their hitboxes, and it could do with some coyote time and a slightly better difficulty curve. Feels like Super Meat Boy

Impressed by the amount of polish this one has, it gets brutal really fast

Fun game and the visuals are very pretty. Some notes I've had with the gameplay are: the up dash felt a bit awkward to use correctly, the spikes hotboxes feel like they encroach on the edge too much and rather than hitting r to restart, it might be easier on the player to show a button after death. Great job overall! keep making great stuff :))

I was craving some platformer and this filled that very well. Very fun movement and decently challenging levels

Tough challenge! I think some quality of life improvements could be made with the controls (coyote time, jumping off a wall vs detaching from a wall), but it's really neat that you went super in-depth with the movement. Also very impressive that you made a game of this length in a week. Good stuff!

This slime has HOPS! I loved this one as a fan of super meat boy and Celeste, this one is high octane. Those bones are difficult no bones about it. Make it harder next time yawn

Jk it was great, 5 stars from me. I thought some of the level design was super slick

Not bad. I wish you restarted automatically, and i wish there was checkpoints. This game really needs coyote time and some input buffering! I like the platforming though. Very cute artwork.

so fun and so difficult, just how i like it. literally only feedback is just make the restart automatic instead of pressing r, since im trash i had to hit r so many times haha

Such a fun look for the oil boy and frustratingly challenging controls that make me want to keep playing. Well done!

This game was built to make silksong look easy. But it was also a super fun time. managed to beat the first level, could not beat the second. my friend got to level 3 though!

Very Slick! Controls are really well tuned and overall just a polished and slick experience. =)

I beat level 1 after many tries

Fun particle effects, and good design to have R key restart (maybe add a toggle option to automatically respawn you)

HARD game

Really pretty map design, I liked that you focused on slick mechanics AND slick aesthetics. The oil splattering everywhere is great for that slick feeling

I had fun as someone who enjoys hard platformers (though even then I died a LOT), I think it could be made better if you play-tested with less skilled players and see what they struggle with. That way, you can adapt the game to let those players feel slick too

Very good game -- I only have one criticism, which is that you need a slightly larger window for wall jumps. Otherwise though it's a great game and I liked it! Very cute pixel art, for anyone looking at the screenshots it has a way better effect in game than from the screenshots -- it's an excellent art style, it just doesn't compress well. Give it a try!

Awesome chip tune music and really nice retro art.  The animation was excellent.  Takes me back to the snes days.

Game was quite tough though.  Even the very beginning.

I liked the slick movement you have there! I'm just not the best when it comes to 2D platformers, but it was fun to try to explore around the level

Great game! There's a lot of attention to detail in the art and levels. Well done!

I like the little details of the oil pool splash, the oil trail as you move, and the dino bones in the background
