How does your game represent "Slick"?
(UE5 Bugged out this submission for some reason. You have to close it the first time you play and then re-open it and it'll work fine)
It's a slippery shark, on a slab of slippery butter, on slippery snow.

Excellent restrained vision and eggcellent eggcecution.
Loving the slick movement here, I just kept replaying the levels until I got all diamond times! You really feel like you get rewarded when you figure how to reach a certain shortcut, like the first bacon strip in level 3. The only two things that felt off was that there was no restart button and there was no timer displayed on the screen. It's not dealbreaking for sure, but for a game about going as fast as you can, those two things are very useful as I want to know if I'm doing better than before, and I also don't want to exit to the main menu every time I want to restart. Aside from that I had a really fun time controlling this awesome little shark, awesome job here! Hope you had fun with this jam! Also feel free to check out my team's game if you want!
yeah, you’re dead on for the restart button, it was just a thing I forgot to add till the day after deadline, so glad you liked it! The “no time displayed” was a bit more of a conscious decision to keep players focused on the track and looking for new routes and stuff, which is a neat idea to me, but I don’t really know how well it did that, and might need to be changed. Thanks again for playing!
Very slick! The movement felt great!
Really cute shark, 10/10 slickness. Although I wasn't able to get far due to what seemed like a bug? I got stuck in the very first ramp/obstacle and had seemingly no way to gather enough speed to jump over it, even with donuts. Still really nice presentation. Great work! :)
Hey there! That's a delta time bug, if you restart the game, it should work!
(also if you're going the same speed after that, try tapping A and D quickly to gain lots of speed. It's in the tutorial, but I should have made the popups alert you better to new information rather than just changing the text)
(weird ue5.7 bug)
Really loved the movement! (and the cute shark)
So cuteeee!!!!
I love how we took similar controls but went different ways. At first, I didn’t know how to move forward, but once I got it and saw the shark’s tail wiggling, I was like, “This is slick.” Very fun to figure out the optimal route for the best medal, especially because the best route is hidden in a slick way. Well done. I got all diamond medals, btw. Great game!
thanks! Yeah I’ve loved seeing all the sledding and snowboarding games, everybody did them so different, but so well!
I like pancakes.
This is so fun! Great presentation and satisfying gameplay.
Love it. Great visuals and feel. I love how fast I can go and I like eating DDONUTS. Thanks for this. Good job.
Super cute & fun game, love how you can air strafe like in counter strike to gain more speed. I was hitting some crazy pancake jumps. And like the others have commented the wagging shark is adorable. Nice work!
Re-opened the game for a second time after I was told that it wasn't working as intended. It completely changed my outlook on this game. It's really well made and is very slick. Great job ;)
Thanks for giving it another go!
Super cute! love the speeding up mechanic, seeing my shark wag his tail to gain speed is fantastic
Like the idea but I feel like the speed gain being based on how fast you tap the buttons is a bit questionable. If it was based on keeping a rhythm I think this would be a lot more comfortable to control.
Cute graphics and music tho. Great job.
sometimes there's a speed bug the first time you launch the game, when it's running at the right pace, it feels great! But unfortunately, I missed that bug on the final version. Thanks for playing!
Yeah good thing you said something. I went back and it's way better than I thought.
Nice! Yeah, It's an unreal bug that causes engine settings to not be applied when set. there's a work around, but I forgot to do it until the day after submissions, but at least it's something that's still fixable with a restart
Cute creature in food-type world has to be one of my favorite genres. I really liked how you have to wag your fin to speed up. I don't think I've ever seen that before.
adorable, unique, fits the theme really, really well; and most importantly so much fun! really nicely done!
Glad to see there is another slippery butter-type game lol, very fun!
Music went crazy good and I just had a hard time clicking A and D fast haha shark looks really cute though and I love the obstacles
I absolutely love the shark it's really cute, especially at the end when he is happily opening its mouth. The only thing i kind of regret is maybe the lack of different kind of obstacles. Nonetheless, great game !
Thanks! We had a lot of fun on this one, maybe we’ll expand this to have some more obstacles and such, we were gonna do waffles and eggs and forks but didn’t have time
This was really fun! I did at first run into the first boot issues others have mentioned, but after a couple restarts the movement feels great. Love the art style for the hud/menu, and the main character model is wonderful.
