i think the mechanics of the game are fun and the art is great, i wish there was sounds, that would make the presentation extra slick. but also as fun as this was, the game was much much harder for me because aiming just did not work, i tried to troubleshoot it but it just didn't work. but that does not affect my opinion, i know what the actual vision is, and its good. great stuff!

Ah I'm sorry that the aiming didn't work!  Were you playing on controller or mouse + keyboard?

the pixel art an animation for this game is phenomenal! i was a bit disappointed there was no sound (idk if this was just a me issue, i reset the game several times to try and see but still nothing), music and sfx would have really heightened the experience. Still a great little platformer!

Played this one because I was interested in the language (wonderfully small executable size btw). I think the gameplay is a little rough, manually controlling the camera was sort of painful at times and the splash indicator wasn't always accurate. I like the art though and the concept is sound. There's some fun puzzles in here it's just held back a little by cumbersome controls. Good work with the limitations and amount of time though.

Thanks for the review, I definitely agree that the jank makes it more cludgey than necessary.   The game was written in Jai, and because it was my first game more time than I'd like went into building out engine-tech (although it was great for ironing out kinks in said tech).  There's actually no compression, I think most of the exe size is a font I don't even use in the final release haha.  Anyways, thanks for playing!

The sprite work is fantastic, I love the snap of the comb as it yanks out the gel. Sliding into a jump feels as slick as Mr. Slick himself. Great work!

Mr Slick definitely embodies being a sleazy looking guy, with his abundance of hair gel to help him navigate the worries of the world (spikes and goons).

The sound broke for me.

Fun sliding mechanic took me a bit to realize it was bouncy. Portal 2.

Cool game, even though i am not a big platformer player. I just did not know how to move the camera so i could not aim properly with the goo and got stuck at the very beggining.

Tricky! Nice idea, love that the gel is used both for player movement and to get rid of the g o o n s. My only complaint is the aim resetting whenever you let go of the joystick.

I liked how it incorporated the theme it was super fun. I wish aiming it was a bit easier but overall fun

Love how he uses his hair grease to slick the ground! Puzzles build well on each other and are well thought out.
