How does your game represent "Slick"?
There's nothing slicker than a smooth-talking, wise-cracking, money-nabbing conman. Well, except for the devil himself.

In our game, the "Slickness" comes from trying to beat the devil at a classic conman game, 3 cup shuffle. We think there's a few "Slick" ways you can use to cheat the devil as well.

Like many said this is great reminds me of buckshot roulette, however the performance is really bad and i cant follow the ball because of it. Though I think that is a itch.io problem rather than your teams

Developer(+1)

Thanks for taking the time to play and leave some feedback! Sorry to hear the performance wasn't very smooth. Would you mind sharing what browser you played on (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)?

This is definitely one of my favourite games of the jam. I would love to see it even further developed, but it already feels complete as is! I love the grunts of the devil and when he calls me a little lamb, a blind worm, or whatever other insignificant creature. The violin is incredible, and the mood was sewn together perfectly. Artwork in the film reels went hard too. Loved the actual tactile/action nature of having to keep track of something with your eyes. Great work, keep doing what you're doing!

This is really kind of you to say! Appreciate the encouraging words! We have a chat planned later tonight to discuss next steps, so we're right in step!

I always see a few inscryption inspired games in jams and I think this is one of my favorite ones. This doesn't depend on luck like many of the others and I enjoyed that. The items were fun to use, although a few of them were maybe slightly too op. Amazing graphics and sounds and everything. Very well made game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Ya, we were tuning the items up until the last second, but it's definitely something we aim to take another look at.

Wow, so well made. Love the vibe of the art and music. The items put a cool twist to the game!

Thank you!

Such a good game. The mood got me instantly, and wanted to keep playing.
Very " Inscryption " vibe like someone else mentionned, good job to have finished such a polished game so fast.

Developer(+2)

Thank you! Definitely a big inspiration for this!

So, so slick. I couldn't help but read all of the cutscenes with a southern drawl XD The atmosphere is absolutely killer, and I really do feel like I'm playing for my soul! It's a good thing I had some help, otherwise I would definitely be in hell right now. Although, I'm not quite sure if the game is supposed to start you at the hardest difficulty once you beat it? Other than that, this is a super polished jam entry! Amazing work!

Developer(+2)

Hahaha I definitely wrote the cutscenes with a Southern Drawl in mind so I'm glad that came through. Thanks for pointing out the difficulty glitch! We'll have to take a second look at that.

Awesome game! The narrative, music, and art all work well together to create a dark aesthetic, with a sense of tension to support the gameplay. Really well done!

Thank you!

The game feel and art style were very cool! Reminded me a lot of Inscryption

Developer(+1)

Thank you, that was definitely a big inspiration for this!

Kind of incredible that you were able to take frankly kind of a boring, old concept of a game and made it intriguing, aesthetically pleasing and genuinely challenging. I am surprised this is a game jam game to be honest. Great job to all involved!

Developer(+1)

Really appreciate you saying that! Keeping the scope small so we could go hard on polish, worldbuilding, and game feel was important to us. Your comment didn't link to your game jam game, but if you're open to us checking it out, feel free to comment it.

Amazing, really dig the vibe you created with the art style and music. The items really add to the gameplay. Nice work :D

My pick for Winner so far. I feel like you took UI, modeling, Game design and theme and blended them all together perfectly. Felt like this game should defiantly not have been free for this level of creativity and polish.

Developer(+2)

Very kind of you to say! Thank you so much for the encouraging words!

super sick vibes and the items are clever and great, though that last round is quite difficult. nice game!

Really cool vibe, feels very inspired by Inscryption. All the items were really cool, and tracking all the cups was surprisingly more forgiving than I was expecting. Nice work!

Thank you!

Great presentation and super well polished, I liked it a lot!

Developer(+2)

Thank you, appreciate the kind words!

This was awesome! I beat it without using any items, but I did fail a LOT of rounds. Loved the art

Developer(+1)

Hot damn how many attempts!?
I could not fathom winning some of the really hard ones with no items!

Submitted(+2)

first attempt, but I still failed many rounds LOL

Developer(+2)

Damn that's some serious eye tracking then!
All the balance was done in the final hour and maybe we leaned a little easy to make sure people would see the ending...
It would have been really nice to have a challenge mode with a leaderboard to see how skilled people truly were!

Damn this was slick as hell. The style! All the little animations, the glimmer and the smoothness :o so nice. Plus the game was fun, easy to get into. Sweet music, lovely sfx. Good vibes all around.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!
