How does your game represent "Slick"?
you slide around and jump around and hit people and stuff, like an oiled up robot. well. kinda. we couldn't finish on time really

You did it, you made game. Oiled Up at that!

Developer

ah, yes. game has been made? i think? is good, is oily. (i will update it as soon as the gamejam ends. i have fixed a lot of stuff since the end of the gamejam's submission time)

That was awesome. When I was able to wall jump repeatedly after swinging across the map it was so nice.
I had a few camera issues whenever I swung too close to the walls. You made something nice!

Developer

yeah game is more fault than content right now because we couldn't really make it in time, but the exact issue you meantion is about the shapecast for the walljump state detection and i have fixed it since, just couldn't submit in time and i wanted to honor the gamejams rules by not updating the post. thank you for your comment by the way!

Even if not everything was fleshed out, I had a lot of fun! Sliding around felt good and it was cool to rush down enemies. Good stuff!

Developer(+1)

thank you so much! i have since done a lot of work on it (mainly game loop and map stuff) and i intend to have a playable demo soon, if that interest you. again, thank you so much for your comment!

Admire the ambition. Enjoyed the speed and see a lot of potential! Mad respect for giving it your all and getting it submitted!

Developer(+1)

i feel kinda inclined to work on it properly for 3 or 4 weeks or so now! what an encouraging comment, thank you so much!

Fun Idea I love fast movement games. WELL DONE!

Developer

well done might be an overstatement :p but thank you so very much!

I can see that your team appears to have bitten off more than you could chew. It's ambitious and unfortunately it's falling short right now. The game kinda doesn't work in a lot of aspects but I can see how you wanted them to work. If they did, this would be something you could sell but right now it needs work.

Developer

oh yeah 100%. we didnt even came close to finishing it but we figured we should post it anyways. thank you for your comment tho!

Glad to see another grapple hook game!  I love the techno aesthetics of this.  The little dash where you punch and the guys flash white is so satisfying, and the wallrunning and fast paced nature of this is so slick

Developer(+1)

oh thank you so very much for your comment! the white flash thingy was my solution for the lack of animations (our blender guy bailed on us and ghosted us sadly). ragdoll is a bit iffy but you get the idea :p. Again thank you so much for the comment! (if you can handle the sloppiness of the maps we put together at the last 5 minutes, try to hit a guy while going really fast, it plays a different death ragdoll :) )

Good first game jam! A very ghost runner style of game! Your wall running was very good, and the sliding was very fun too! I think the most jarring thing was just the visual style which was really cool, but without textures made it hard to know where you were and how fast you were going. Good job and congrats for getting something submitted!

oh hi there! first off thank you for your overly positive comment (i dont think we deserve it really :p) i have to say, our blender guy just bailed on us and ghosted us for the last 5 days or so, resulting in me (I handle the game engine side) a systems first guy try to design maps purely using godots own reflections and lighting, which resulted in them being somewhat hard to read as you have said. we didn't even had time to tweak the maps to be better too sadly! again thank you for your comment
