How does your game represent "Slick"?
We incorporated the theme in a ton of ways! For one, the Player has a belly slide that gives them slick movement. They also need to avoid guards and carefully pickpocket NPCs, giving them a gameplay loop where they need to be slick to remain undetected. Finally, the game has a very jazzy theme to it, which is known for having a slick feel.

I completely forgot "Slick" can also mean this sorta thing :D! Really kewl approach to this jam amigo! I'd provide feedback but it seems everyone's covered all my points so all I wana say is I love the art and direction you've taken this and the game lives up to it's slick standard.

Clever and fun! Although I did spend the majority of the time sliding away like my life depended on it... :)
I never though that life as a penguin would be tough not because of sea lions or whales, but because of the penguin police rough housing a little guy like me. I loved the game over screen, I wasn't slick enough to reach the win screen, my best score was 90.
Stealing fishes from penguins has never crossed my mind before. Had a fun time playing this.
Only thing it needs is some sort of Italian plumber in a red suit.
Pretty solid submission, sliding around is fun and I certainly felt slick when stealing from people. Having a way out of stealing would be nice but I see how it's the risk-taking mechanic of pushing for more steals
fun little game with a few things to note, I was able to pickpocket the same guy a couple of times, I don't think that was the intended playstyle lol. I also think there should be a button that exits you out of pickpocket mode, because the guards are just too fast. When you're fin deep in another penguin it's hard to get it out. Also I feel there should be a visual indication that hitting the walls of the penguins pocket will add onto your suspicion meter. Overall I did enjoy my time with the game, and it is a couple of tweaks away from being very fun

visual indication + sfx for +sus is added on the pos jam version (will upload that after jam ends), also fixed the bug that lets you PP from same guin back to back for that patch. (and couple more things also, will post it after the jam)
I have gotten the feedback of exiting PP fast & easy with out penalties couple of times, but I feel if your fin is deep in the pocket of another NPC then it shouldn't be so easy to leave :D you can leave the pocket without fish also. But yeah later if we were to make it so you can buy upgrades this is a good upgrade idea, or letting you fast exit with +sus cost. Another idea I had was to slow down the real world and keep the PP game same speed. We will see if we want to keep working on the game :)
This was nice. I like the visual design of the game, feels warm and cozy( didn't see it at all on this jam yet). As for the theme you decided to go all slick in. which is funny. Mario Bros 2 is still slicker, but you caught up pretty close. Whoever was producing the game - good job, it feels polished and loved.

The sliding and movement felt good. The music was chill, until it wasn't. It really added a sense of urgency. Good job!

The minigame was great! I was slippin and slidin all over the place. Slick controls, slick-soundin music. Slick all around. Those cops will never catch me 10/10

It was pretty neat seeing someone else do the pick-pocketing thing as well! Really loved the art one this one! Kinda makes me wish I also added sliding and penguins to my submission.

Excellent submission! Sliding your way out of town while the coppers chase you is super tense! And the rush of seeing a big fish in an unsuspecting penguin's pocket...
