fun, i liked these small silly creatures haha
I am glad that you enjoyed it!
Great game! Gameplay feel soo smooth, the art, sfx and music all blend well together!
Thank you for the review !!!
Very cool concept! I really enjoyed this! Kinda reminds of Einstein logic puzzles (I think that’s what they’re called) where each person has a specific condition that you have to understand to get the correct answer. The hitboxes on the monsters could have been little more forgiving. I struggled to pick them up a few times, but I’ve never minded a challenge.
Thank you for the feedback! We were wondering about the hit boxes, but ultimately decided not to just cause we didn't want them to overlap too much if monsters were next to eachother, Making it harder to pick up the monsters you want....I want to make a QoL update that includes scaling hit boxes that scale depending on how close the monsters are to each other! Its good to know that someone else also sees this issue! Thank you!
Maybe have a check when two hitboxes are being clicked, that measures which hitbox’s origin is closer to the cursor. For a 2D that shouldn’t be too difficult thankfully. I hate doing that in 3D.
But considering that’s the only complaint I have, I enjoyed it!
Thank you for the suggestion! i like that idea, too! Ill give it a go first and see how it works!
I like the concept and visually is great! I had some problems grabbing the monsters, sometimes they would just not move and I had to re-click them to actually be able to move them around. Great work!
Thank you for the review! I agree with the hit boxes, and in hindsight, i should've either made them a TAD bit bigger, or had them scale depending on how close the monsters are to each other! That way they wouldn't overlap, but if there was a singular monster in the middle of an open space it would be easier to pick up.
Nice game, love SFX! Maybe just needed a little nerf :D
100%. Thanks for the feedback. Next time I will make a game that satisfies both the hardcore gamer 100%ers, and the casual 'I want satisfying gameplay i don't care about being the best' bruhs.
Thank you for playing the game!
Very good use of the theme. From visual, sfx, to game juice, you nailed it pretty well. I wanted to play the whole game actually, but I wish the capacity of the hiding place is more forgiving, like after I put all blue dudes under the bed, there's only about 2-3 vacant spots left. As for the full capacity alarm (the hiding spot jiggle when they r full), it should occur earlier, cause now it went over my head so many times ;))
That being said, this is still a great game. Truly a hidden gem of this jam. Keep up the good work man!
I totally agree! I did not realize how inaccessible i had made the games difficulty due to play testing it so many times. I thought the difficulty was perfect for a newcomer, but i guess i was off by a bit :( We live and learn, though!
Thank you for the kind words! and i also agree that making it jiggle sooner is a good idea! Was thinking of implementing some QoL stuff just as as a small update after the rating period!
Very cute concept and great execution. Everything seems homemade from scratch, and that gives it a very unique and personal style. I like it :)
Thank you so much for the kind words. Everything WAS made by both Jerebee and I :') Thank you for noticing
this was super fun and polished. could definitely a nice progression too (like being able to lasso a few at a time etc...).
oh that’s a really nice idea with the lasso - thanks for playing!!
this is fuun, the interactions feel very good, I can see it be a very enjoyable game just with a bit more variations
Totally agree!
The difficulty is a bit high, requiring a lot of clicks, but the concept is really brilliant👍
In Hindsight, I do think we should have included some sort of tool to make the game more interesting!
Cool game, it's harder than it looks at first.
I didn't expect there to be more red goblins than green ones, so I placed the greens in the two safe spots and the reds completely overwhelmed the last placement.
Truly an out-of-place game
I enjoyed it! The rules were clear and easy to understand and I liked the gradual addition of different color monsters and rules. It's a *lot* of clicking/dragging, which gets kinda repetitive over time...not a biggie (it's a game jam, after all!) but if you continued working on this, maybe an alternate method of transporting them (an aim and toss or something).
Great job overall, was fun to play!
Thank you for trying out our submission! That is a totally fair assessment! I 100% agree that there is a LOT of clicking and dragging. You should've been able to toss them? But Even so, it would be nice to have an easier method to move them around... I did find it a bit cumbersome to get the monsters out from corners.
I like the song. Bit too difficult as a trackpad only user. Nice job!
I appreciate the feedback! sadly this game is not super accessible for anyone without a mouse :((( but thank you for the kind words about the music! Next time I will make the game easier and more accessible.
