I died quickly, lmao! But I enjoyed it so much. It's such a great nod to a classic game like "Snakes." This game is pure nostalgia. It reminds me of those days when Nokia was in the hype and all we could play there was this Snakes game.

The lasers definately add quite a bit of excitement to the snake formula.  This game also looks and sounds great.  Its quite fun. I think the laser and other hazards could use a much longer telegraph though.  I wasn't sure what took me out the first two time I got hit by the spikes and lasers are often unavoidable.  i had this strategy id try sometimes where id use the laser to cut tail shorter.  Pretty sure this doesnt help cause it ends up taking more health but went for it anyway since it was kinda fun to try.

good job. you did a very good job of the movement. one thing was I was getting stuck it the laser and I could not get out in time, and I would give a little warning before the spikes come on. you got me hooked on trying to get to level4 and I did. my hi score was 512.

over all I would say you did a great job.

A really good take on snake, gameplay is simple but fun, art is absolutely splendid like really, vibe made me think of undertale, maybe my only issue is that laser can sometimes be unfair and unavoidable.

Talking about quality… Amazing! Also loved how quick and clear instructions were. Really good UX. I only have one suggestion I could think of: maybe make time between visibility of where a laser is coming and when it actually comes depend on the length of the snake. I had a few times where I saw the laser coming, but that there was no way to avoid it as the laser indicator appeared just after I went past it with my head. Overall: great job!

Hi, thank you so much for playing my game!

You’re totally right about the lasers — because of them the game feels a bit poorly thought out, and there are a lot of other issues too.

Also, big problems with the spikes appearing — they just pop up without any warning to the player.

I’ve got a ton of things I need to fix.Once again, a huge thank you for the feedback and for actually taking the time to play my game!

Hey! The art and atmosphere are amazing! The controls also feel good. But I think the concept is a bit undercoocked: sometimes red laser just spawns right along your body, so even if you move immediately, you still get a lot of damage. I think it's a problem. There is a game on steam with a similar gameplay approach: Last Command. Please, check how the devs managed this aspect, maybe you'll get inspired.

I liked it quite a bit, although it's a little challenging for me. I'll try to win, haha.

Thank you so much for playing my game. Yes, the game might be difficult. In the future, I’ll add the option to change the difficulty or make it gradually increase. Thanks again!

Cool game! Simple controls but very engaging, and the art looks awesome. Great work!

Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm really happy about it because this is actually my very first game ever published on itch.io. Thanks again!

Very good, it's very polished. My high score was 1.010 :D. I played until unlocking all snakes, and then an extra level (I thought maybe there was a little extra secret). Overall, the game is very good, you can't go wrong with snake, and I like how it feels sort of like Undertale with the different attack patterns and all.

The presentation is very good, animations are nice, and the only "bug" I could find (which probably is intended) is that, if you start a new game, after the mini tutorial, if your snake is on track to pick up a star, it doesn't until you move it again.

The music and sound effects were also very good. Congratulations on such a polished experience!! :D

Huge thanks for the feedback, 1010 is really a big record, thanks for playing my game. I'm sad that I didn't manage to add more content there, I really wanted to add a secret cutscene and thanks in the game, but I just didn't make it in time for the deadline. In the next update, I'll add a lot of things, from a more interesting plot to bosses. Thanks again for playing my game.

Because my account is new, I couldn't leave reviews right away—they all went through moderation, but now everything is fine.

Awesome work, the game is really polished and the pixel art is amazing.
I specially like the presentation, menu design and the color coding are well done.
The music is good and gives a solid wipe. I would personlly prefer a more action pact soundtrack for such a tipe of game but thats just me.
I did not notice any major bug.
Gameplay wise its a simple loop but well executed. The player instantly knows what  to do.

One thing that is a little bit frustrating: the spikes (that appear on the side) are not telegraphed like the beams, so if you are on the edge and they spawn you die because of bad luck, not because you made a mistake.

If you want to further work on it you could add some new game mode. A boss mode where collecting does damag, the longer the snake the more damage the boss takes. The bosses could have different attack pattern like in Undertale.
But it is completly fine as it is, small well polished well executed game!

Keep up the good work ;)

Thank you so much for playing my game, I'm really happy about it! ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵)Since my account is new, sending messages was restricted for a while (everything had to go through moderation), but now it's all good and I can reply normally.I already mentioned before that all your feedback really helped me a lot, but still — thank you once again!

I only had a tiny bit of time left to sort out the music and finish the spike logic properly, so in the end it didn't turn out exactly how I wanted. But I'll fix everything in the next update for sure.Huge thanks again! Really appreciate you taking the time to play and leave such nice words
