I can definitely see the inspiration from your games.  The art is awesome and sometimes hilarious! Has an Into the Odd feel, which is cool. I especially love the one of the tower out in the desert. The boons and curses are creative. All around zany adventure. I like it! Great job!

Into the Odd is a big influence on my stuff so that's a huge compliment thanks! Tower in the desert was the one I was most pleased with of the collages I attempted so glad it worked for you too.

Good luck in the jam!

Wandering dungeon is a really cool concept! I could easily add this to the random encounter list of a hex crawl. I'm also a sucker for mad scientists so I'll keep this one in mind when I'm prepping my next campaign. I also love that you just dialed things to 11 with some of the random encounters and magic items. Like the tome of transmutation or the above floor randomly crashing down are things that can really cause chaos and make sessions memorable.

Developer

Hey thanks so much for checking it out! Yeah the wandering dungeon thing is definitely something I'm going to look at adding to future hexcrawls. There's a good example of it in Wildendrem Valley of Flowers if you've seen that one, they've got a castle that stomps about the region which is fun.

Good luck in the jam!

Love the zaniness of this funhouse! Could really have the tower trundle into any game, making the usability very good! I wish there was a statblock for the Chimanticore, because that is a terrifying idea. Also a monkey in a jester costume is just A+ work!

Developer

Hey thanks! Monkey as jester very much came from the public domain art I found, some really weird stuff out there!

Agree on the chimanticore, I think if I revisit and expand it I'll add that in to Terzak's level

I love the concept! The classic "mad wizard went too far" plot with a great variety of challenges. I love the implementation of the elevator not being a linear climb to the top but players can choose which floor to tackle. I see a lot of potential with something like this. A traveling wizard tower is the perfect "drag and drop into a campaign" type of dungeon.

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks so much! Yeah I think the elevator adds a lot to the module and hopefully characters do use it to jump around the tower a bit.

Thanks for checking it out!

Nice and weird. I like that the tower can appear in any existing campaign that might be happening. I like the animalistic powers the players can get, though I think its a slight missed opportunity to (somewhat horrifically) transmogrify the players as part of the process.

I like the twist of the wizard being dead, but it feels a little anti-climactic to reach the top and not have some kind of showdown happen. The escaped monstrosity would be a natural choice.

I do wish there was a bit more going on on each of the levels rather than a single encounter, but its understandable given the jam's space limitations. I think expanding out the dungeon after the jam would greatly improve it.

Developer

Thanks for checking it out!

Yeah after reflecting I'm not sure I delivered on weird animal hybrids sufficiently, should have had more weird combo creatures. Putting in the chimanticore at the top would definitely be cool to explore in an expanded version, I'd need to get my head around shadowdark stat blocks first though.

Good luck in the jam!
