Loved it! Fingers cramped up midway through so I’m thankful for accessibility mode. My fav multi-functional level, what a literal twist, I’d give you 7 or 8 stars for that category if I could.
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words!
I will never forget this experience in my whole life. Never.
My brain still sweats of stress when it remembers what happened on stream, and how it exploded when it realised what happened. Simple QTE, but oh my God what an experience
I hope you had a positive experience. Sorry about the trauma.
Got the golden cube, yay! The map rotating halfway through was unexpected, very cool!
Thank you so much!
Absolutely loved playing this, the QTEs fast clicked bugged me a little, but it they were very useful. Well done!
If you hate the qtes you can disable them by pressing E! Thanks for the positivity!
I'm not sure I'd do it any differently, just ended up doing a lot of fast clicking from time to time.
the obvious best thing I noticed is the level flipping transition, I felt like the QTE was not necessary I just looked up and eventually got up to where I needed, the general feel of jumping is exactly as it should be Great job! just wish you had more time for this entry, I wonder what you will come up with next round.
if you have time please check out my entry I would appreciate that a lot
I love this!! You literally flipped my world upside down and I was freaking out for a second haha. What a great idea!!
I really appreciate a simple 3D platformer. The movement feels great and the multifunctional aspect is really cool!
The platforming seems smooth. It wasquite fun.
I really liked that you added a speedrun version!
It was really cool seeing the world rotate, awesome work dude!
This was such a peak experience for being your first game! :D
Thank you!!! The speedrun ending was never actually planned, just a side effect of the mechanics and dare I say multifunctionality of the level 😅
The world rotation came from the idea that I really wanted to make a shape-shifting level to fit the multifunctional theme. Early versions of the level rotated 90 degrees in various axes, but it ended up muddying the level design so I decided to go for the 180. It feels more cinematic this way anyway.
Ah yes of course... thank you for the kind words 🤣
Awesome work dude!
Such an interesting idea :D
Was quite fun to play, completed in both the speedrunners way and the normal way..for something that looks like a basic prototype, it's really good when seen with the jam's task the way clicking is taken as qte and level turning upside down as multi functionality is really clever..
Thank you so much for the positivity
Really cool to add multiplayer into a jam game. I've just finished playing cairn so very much primed to enjoy a climbing game! Well done :)
I was definitely inspired in no small part by cairn, among other more obvious influences like peak & mirror's edge
Great game!
I'll start with a minor negative: I don't really like the click-based gameplay.
But the level multifunctionality is top-notch! I really liked your take on the theme.
This is fun to play. The QTE is spot on!
Thank you. It takes real to recognize real like that.
Love how you have put it out. Do check my game as well if you have time!
Very nice! I didn't realize it was multiplayer until someone joined in partway through.
I thought the rotation mechanic was creative.
I really enjoyed the climbing QTE, since I am usually bad at platformers, it made it more forgiving (and kind of reminded me of Mirror's Edge).
Really smooth integration of all the grading criteria, good job!
I'm so glad to hear that you randomly discovered the multiplayer feature. I was hoping to create those kinds of moments for people.
Unfortunately no one was playing with me but I did reach the cube of victory so that's a win in my book. Great game!
Thanks! I loved your game as well!
There is always something addicting about jumping around a 3d space. The QTE is very button mashy. But I liked that the level reversed for the second round.
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have to admit I share your distaste for the button mashing, but then again I'm not the biggest fan of QTEs altogether. I digress, I'm looking forward to trying out your game!
The moment your screen starts to rotate was the most surprising, like what did I too wrong? Apprently nothing :D Didn't get to try out those promised multiplayer elements but in theory, I respect adding them
I'm glad the twist surprised you, it was the only way I could think of to make the level multifunctional haha
The gravity change was cool. I didn't get the chance to check the online aspect unfortunately, maybe another time
It's not required for the experience, it's just a cool little addition. But if you want to try it with someone else feel free to ping me in the discord and I'd be happy to hop in!
lord forgive me I could not finish the game, wish I saw the multiplayer feature I wonder if this is why it asked me for microphone access.
I forgive you, my child.
Yes your intuitions are correct, the mic access is for proximity voice chat
The parkour was nice, it was so fun holding on a platform while climbing :D But everything else was unfortunately kinda barebones :')
Good luck!
Yea, we can't all be artists ;D
I just hope people had fun
